" Level 2 is the most advanced, as semi- finals winners 'Doug Brindley and Brian Phillips have played the first of their championship games. Brian scored the victory, but Doug may bounce back to tie things up next week. This will be a familiar scene to Brian, whose three games with Owen Moriarty teetered back and forth, before Brian won overall. Gerry Ross emulated. Doug's win over Eric Hallam, by beating Dennis Luiting in two straight games. This means that Robert Nau and Gerry compete against each other for the Level 3 trophy. The only action seen in Level 1 was Walter Gottschalk's vengeful win over Mark Maurer. Their position now stands at one game apiece; so the next game will be the decides.
