A senior official of Ontario's largest pro-
vincial conservation organization, The On-
tario Federation of Anglers and Hunters
(O.F.A.H.), has expressed dismay at ac-
tions
ctions taken by the executive of a farmers
group, the Ontario Federation of
Agriculture (O.F.A.). The O.F.A. ex-
ecutive has called on its members to pre-
vent government officials from evaluating
Wetlands on their farms. In order to imple-
ment progressive new plans for en-
vironmental protection, the Ontario
Ministry of Natural Resources (M.N.R.)
needs to complete its evaluations.
in a recent letter to the farmers group,
O.F.A.H. Executive Vice President Rick
Morgan, has urged its executive to change
its position. Morgan ' stated, "Sensible
agricultural drainage, sensible en-
vironniental protection, the benefit to
farmers and the_ benefit to society can be
accomplished if the government possesses
all the facts." He then asked, "Why is the
Ontario Federation of Agriculture afraid ••
tolet.those facts _be.knowii?" .
Vankleek Hill, who joined the UCO Board in
1979, will be serving his third year as second
vice-president.
The fourth executive member is Stuart E.
Dorrell, the Board member from Charlton;
near New Liskeard, Ontario. Dorrell has
been a Board member since 1980.

nual meeting activity. The size of the UCO
Board was expanded from 12 to 15, to in-
clude three new Directors at Large. The
other 12 members are elected on a
geographic basis with their term of office
being three years. The new Directors at
