The Port Albert Actioneers held their se-
cond meeting on February 25th, at Jean
McWhinney's•at 7:00 p.rn.
This meeting began with the 4-H pledge.
Rollcall which was to bring 3. garments
from home and telltheir fibre Content, knit,
and, care instructions, was said. Each
member chose a partner to help take their
measurements and find out what pattern
size they took. Topics discussed were how to
take body measurements, determining your
pattern size, choosing your pattern, fabric,
and fabric preparation. Parts of a sewing
rnarhine were_shown, also members were
allowed to participate in some sewing.
Refreshments were served—and—the—
meeting closed with the 4-1-1 motto.
Next meeting will be held on March 18th,
at 7:00 p.m. at Teresa Meriam's.

HURONVIEW - On February 24, a com-
munion service was held at Huronview.
Assisting Rev: Pick were Clark Ball and
Kenneth Caldwell of Ontario Street United
Church, Clinton.
Strains of old time music sounded through
the auditorium on February 25, when Marie
Flynn accompanied by the Huron Strings,
played popular bygone tunes.
At noontime on Tuesday, men from Men's
Bed -Care- g-athered in the auditorium for -a-
sumptuous meal of bacon, eggs, sausage
etc. By all reports, this was an excellent
dinner, and no doubt some of these men
would recall from their farming days, a
breakfast like this, would be a must.
The February birthday party was held
February 27, and the Seniors' Golden Radar
Club- was- ill" charge -of the program -and--
refreshments. Muriel Jones' president, in-
troduced the numbers. Wat Webster played
a medley of mouth organ pieces, accom-
panied by tape-recorded music. Dora
Heard.has an exceptional talent, one that is
seldom heard, and that is whistling. Dora
did some selections, accompanied by Mr.
Webster. Lorna Radford a fine musician,
played delightful piano pieces. Muriel
Jones gave a humorous reading, followed by
a medlerof tunes played on the violin by Joe
Boland accompanied at the piano by Gwen
Watson. A reading was given by Muriel
Jones. Elinor Fisher played a piano solo
and this was followed by an amusing skit
presented by - Elmer and Mary Trick and
Rachel Johnson. Happy Birthday was sung
to all the February people, and the ladies
from the Golden Radar Club served
refreshments. Elmer Trick played a few
selections on the a no.
Mid -week Bibr''h;=study was cancelled on
February 28 ' brut Some residents went to
town for a few rounds of bowling.
World Day of Prayer was held on March 1
in the chapel. The theme was "Peace
Through Prayer. and Action". The service
was conducted by Isabel Edward and .Alice
Fee. Wayne Lester sang a solo and Frank
Bissett presided at the organ.
HuronView welcomes Mrs. Reta Springer
of the Exeter 'af'ea, wino ' has come- here to
reside.
To the family of the late Mrs. Grace
Howe, sympathy is expressed.
