March of Dimes fund-raising
campaign is drawing to,ra close
The Ontario March of Dimes' 1985 fund-
raising campaign is drawing to a close. Mrs.
Ellen Connelly is delighted to report that a
total of $3315.00 has been collected in
Goderich and district.
The donations received from the com-
munity will help enrich the lives of physical-
ly disabled adults in so many ways - by pro-
viding employment and job training oppor-
tunities; camping holidays; wheelchairs,
electronic units and other aids; improving
transportation services and housing. In
short, the March of Dimes helps disabled
people re -discover their potential - and their
abilities.
"The Ontario March of Dimes' campaign
slogan was, Help us break the bends of
disability", said Ellen. "We certainly can
continue to help the thousands of physically
disabled adults across the province, thanks
-a
to the support received from our communi-
`
ty.
Mrs. Connelly would also like to add a
special thank you to the dedicated letter
' sfers who worked so hard and to the
members of the media and postal workers
for their support. And, of course, a very
special "thank you" to everyone who gave a
donation.

Cubs, Scouts, Brownies and Beavers from the Blyth -Auburn area
met in Blyth on Sunday evening, for a winter style campfire.
Despite the chilling winds, the youngsters and their leaders joined
in a few rousing campfire songs in honor of the birthday of their
founders, Lord and Lady Baden Powell. A bonfire was made from
Christmas trees and hot chocolate kept everyone warm. (Shelley
