Skating was enjoyed for an hour on Thursday afternoon by all Brookside school children at Lucknow Arena. About 77 pupils stayed at the school with four teachers. During the Professional Development Day on Friday, the teachers met with Special Education Superintendent Paul Car- roll and Area Resource teachers, Darlene Ellison and Charlotte Fanjoy to discuss school needs and how area resource teachers can best help school personnel. In the afternoon Debbie Heslinga, Enrichment Consultant, made a very interesting presen- tation of ways and means to motivate students and get them to acquire and use reading and research skins.
