CASH DONATION
The Recreation Board decided to give a
cash donation, rather than free photocopy-

Mayor Palmer told the -hoard tbere•wer e
three reasons, the town turned down the
request. They felt it would disrupt office
routine, general policy dictates the town
does not provide the service free and
because the group serves all of Huron
County, they felt the request was best
directed to county council.
Recreation Diretor Jane Netzke said the
Recreation Department charges a s n-
dard fee of 10 cents per copy, up to 100
copies and .5 cents for each additional
copy.
The board passed a motion authorizing a
cash donation of -$100 to the group and also
recommending that they approach Huron
County Council with their request.

The Tow fof Goderich may be visited by
two different circuses this year, one in
May or June and one later in the summer.

Director Jane Netzke pointed out that
the )Recreation Department already has a
firm booking from another circus, which
will also he coming to the area this sum-
mer, and.plans"to rent the Goderich arena
.for an indoor circus. -
The letter from Kelly -Miller Bros; was
forwarded to area service clubs, as was a
letter from Netzke, explaining that.there is
already another circus booked for this
summer.
GOOD CHEER
The "Good Cheer Skate" held in the
Goderich Arena, December 2, netted $54
and 13 bags of canned goods for the Family
and , Chldren's Services Christmas
Bureau.
The bureau donate food and toys to
needy Huron County families at Christmas
time.
BUDGET MEETING
The next Recreation Board meeting will
be held February 5, at the Town Hall. The
department's 1985 budget will be drafted
at that time.
Murphy's salvage split in bowling
MONDAY NIGHT MEN
Al McDonald and Art Burt teamed up to
help Murphy's Landing salvage a split of 15
apiece with Selinger-Wood. Art rolled a 375
single and Al came through with a 300 single
and 688 triple. Carson Millet' was top man
for Seli_nger with a 658, These two teams are.
now one and two in the standings.
Little Bowl managed to hold onto third
spot as they Were being defeated 16-14 by
John's Jokers. John Miller was the high
man for the Jokers with a 712. Sonny Moore
has been hot of late as he turned in a 795 for
Little Bowl. Sonny, Al Sanders, and Jerry
Rivett all had 300 plus singles in the match
but couldn't come up with the win.
The Tail Ends took a 1941 win over the A
Team, sparked by Gary Chambers with
three match wins and a 604 triple. Ron
Klages was high bowler for the A Team with
a 555. French Cleaners have really dropped
in the, standings, as they were again
defeated, this time at the `hands bf the
Poverty Pak, bhe score .of 17-13. Earl
Lawrence led the way for the Pak with a 584
for the night. High man for French was Al
Smith with a 708.
3-6-9 MIXED TOURNAMENT
Due to the success of the last 3-6-9 tourna-
ment, Little Bowl and the Little Bowl 5 -Pin
Bowlers Association Will be holding another
one on Friday, February Z. As before, the
entry fee will be $10.00 plus lineage.
These tournaments are always a lot of fun
with lots of prizes to be won. The field will
fill up fast, so if you wish to enter, please
notify the Littles or the executive of the
Association so that your name will be
entered. ti
TUESDAY MIXED
The Tricky Six took over first place by
shutting out the G.M.C.s 7-0., Dick McLean
led the Sixer's, rolling 302 and 314 singles,
plus an 851 triple. Jack Gilbert was high for
the G.M.C.s, rolling a 626 triple. The Dirty
Half Dozen is in"second place, after their 7-0
win over the Tailenders. Joanne Ducharme
and Al Pennie rolled. 775 and 746 triple for
the Dirty Half. High for the Tailenders was
Jim Martin with a 658 triple.
The ?'s took a 5-2 decision over the Un-
predictables behind Nick Littlechild's 619
triple. Janet Deer was high for the Un-
predictables, rolling a 552 triple.
Tom Allen rolled a 620 triple as the Bowled
Eagles stayed close with a 5-2 win over the
Pin Pickers. Mel Dickson was high for the
Pickers also rolling a 620 triple.
Barb's Gang, led by Barb Chapman and
Marj Moore,, shut out the Unknowns 7-0.
Barb and Marj relied 751 and 756 triples.
High for the Unknowns was Don Carrick
with a 583 triple.
Chris Connor led the Frame Ups to a 5-2
win over Bell's Angels. Chris rolled a 290
single and 665 triple. Walter Bell was the
high Angel rolling a 601 triple.
THURSDAY MIXED
The league leading Copycats lost a 5-2
decision to the Semis?, dropping them out of
first place.
Keith Baer, bowling 78 pins -over -average,
helped the Semis? attack. Darlene Maxwell
bowled a 214 single for the Copycats.
The Dizastors jumped back into first
place by blowing away the Nightowls 7-0.
Joan Eisenbach paced the Dizastors with a
591 triple. Vi De Haas was high bowler for
the Nightowls with a 500 triple.
The Four Seasons are coming back into
form by winning a 5-2 split from the "A"
Team. Julie Foxton was high bowler for the
Four Seasons with a 486 triple. Earl
Lawrence tried to rally his "A" Team with a
526 triple but to no avail.
THURSDAY NIGHT LADIES
Team Canada took charge and captured
five points from the, Alleycats. Alice Koop-

232 and also the high triple for the Vinic with
a 535. Pat Brown was hig'�: Towler for the
_Aileycatc with a,534 triple.
Nighthawks took five points from the Yo
if os. Rory Hurlock for the first time out for .
Thursday night ladies bowled a 606 triple
with a very good game of 256. Barb Adair
was high bowler for the Yo Yo's, but close
behind was Tiny Hodges with a 519 and Marj
Smith with a 518.
It was a close struggle between the 'What
Nots, who took three points and the
WalI'bangers who took 4. Linda Rodgers
bowled a 563 triple for the. What Nots and
Dianne Scott had the ,high triple of 538 for
the Walibangers.
• Trouble Makers had little trouble in tak-
ing all seven points off the Spare Parts.
Barb, Pigg was high bowler for the Trouble
Makers with two good games of 218 and 216
while Kim Pontes had a good 232 game.
Dorothy Ziegler was high bowler for the
Spare Parts with the high triple of 486.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT
Steve Allen's 799 took the men's high tri-
ple this week leading the A & P to a 4 point
