Variety Night will showcase students
A showcase of four scenes, featuring fifty
attors, will make up the Goderich District
Collegiate Institute Variety Night '85. Open-
ing night is January 24, with subsequent per-
formances on Friday January 25, and Sun-
day January 27.
NOTE: There will not be a Saturday night
performance.
Three new student directors have been
working since late November, when,casting
took place.
Lisa Adams, a Grade 13 student, willpre-
sent Act 1 from "Never Too. Late". This '

cur when a newly-wed couple move in with
the brides parent's,. Like most comedies, the
results are hilarious.
Sandy Laiie, also a Grade 13 student, has
selected "Jitters", a backstage cothedy
which portrays the problems of actors lives,
on and off the stage. Thre's a laugh alribiute

in this script and audiences will never see a
play again; without wondering if the east •.
has "the jittere's "
Mike Maurer , is. directing scenes from
Jules Fieffer's, "Fieffer's People". These
comic moments show man at his best and
his worst. If you can laugh at yourself, you'll
love "Fieffer's People".
Mr. McMillan, GDCI drama director, will
present Clare Booth's "The Women". This
comedy presents a dated view of women
who are faced with' surviving a crisis in a
"perfect" . marriage. It examines; the. pro,
blem of bridge table marriage counselling.
The shows opens at 8:00 p.m. and tickets
' are available from cast members or at the
door. • ".•'• • •

GDCI's night of laughter is j at you
need. It's a chance to gee a lot of n talent
at,the school.
