On Jan. 5, Goderich hosted Exeter and the teams skated to a 5-5 tie. Gavin Snell scored the first goal for Ex- eter, assisted by Steve Stire. Fifteen seconds later, Goderich tied the score, with an unassisted goal by Ken McLarty. In the second period, Goderich went well ahe.2- with two unanswered goals. Two goals in each of the first two periods gave Goderich a 4-0 lead, before Exeter came back with a pair early in the third. Goderich outscored Exeter 3-2 the rest of the way to secure the win. Scott Garrow, with four goals, led the Goderich attack.
