Goderich opened the scoring with a goals
by Lee Williamson, assisted by Jeff Klages.
Parkhill did not score in the first period.
Parkhill got the fist tally of the, secend
frame, which turned out to be heir only
marker. Ken McLarty scored from Craig
Corrivewu, at 4:40, to break the tie.
Just 15 seconds later, Goderich widened
the gap, with a goal from Bryan Hodges,
assisted by Jason Meri
In the third period, G derich went well
ahead, with two unassiste goals, the first
by Hodges and the second by Robert
Kinahan.
On Jan. 5, Goderich hosted Exeter and the
teams skated to a 5-5 tie.
Gavin Snell scored the first goal for Ex-
eter, assisted by Steve Stire. Fifteen
seconds later, Goderich tied the score, with
an unassisted goal by Ken McLarty.
In the second period, Goderich went well
ahe.2- with two unanswered goals. Jeff

In period three, Goderich scored first,
with a goal from Ken McLarty, assisted by.
Bryan Currie. Exeter came on strong at, this
point and scored three straight goals.
Goderich broke' the deadlock at 12:59, with
an unassisted goa?by Dave Lumley.
Despite excellent 'goaltending,,by Chris
Lyndon and Dirk Wolterbeek and excellent
defence and offence, Exeter's Gavin Snell
managed to tie the game with a disputed
goal at the 14:26 mark, assisted by Steve
Stire. ,.
Although many spectators claimed that
the puck hit the goal post and did not go in
the net, the goal wa epunted and the game
ended in a 5-5 draw. ,
Belles win
A six goal barrage in the second an final
period, enabled the Goderich Tweens to
overcome Seaforth 8-5, in a ringette road
game, played January 6.
The local girls received excellent
goaltending from Tanya Glousher and
stonewall defence from Lisa, Empson,
Laurie Dawson, Denise Johnston, Shelly
Alcock and Jennifet Durnin to lead the

Garrow scores four
Goderich, Elevator Bantams outscored
Exeter 74, in a Shamrock League hockey
game, played here Saturday.
Two goals in each of the first two periods
gave Goderich a 4-0 lead, before Exeter
came back with a pair early in the third.
Goderich outscored Exeter 3-2 the rest of the
way to secure the win.
Scott Garrow, with four goals, led the
Goderich attack. Greg Alcock, Jason
Million and Darren Stanbury had a goal and
an assist each, Byron Bowman and Bob
Allen each added an assist. •
Tom Durnin and Greg Townsend tended
the local cage.
BANTAM
The Goderich Bantam B's hosted Elrna-
Logan on January 4. The visitors over-,
powered their hosts and won. the game with
a 5-0 shutout.
On Jan 5, Gdderich travelled to Clint( n. In
a very close game, Goderich lost 5-4.
Goderich goals were Scored by Bobbie
Dempsey, assisted by Gregg de Winter;
Brad Fisher, from Danny Imanse; Graham
Glousher, from Gregg de Winter and de
Winter from Robbie Dempsey.
Midgets beat Lucan 9-4
team to victory. - The Goderich . Legion Midgets
Goderich outscored the visitors 2-1 in the Lucan last Saturday and won 9 - 4.

defenders and skated in 'alone on the goalie

Two minutes later, Shawn Larder, open in

Tom Bean and Kevin Talbot assisted.
In the second period Goderich scored'ear-
ly at 1:41. Garrow through some hard work,
set up Cauchi for his second goal.

At 5:25, atter Lucan scored its first. Jim
Beattie skated through the whole Lucan
team and cleanly beat the goaltender.

In the third period Lucan scored twiceand

identical to his first. Cauchi and 'Garr1ow

On December 7, Goderich ldst to Ripley
in exhibition play by a score of'8 - 3.
Goal scorers for Goderich were Richard
Boddy, Jim Beattie and, Shawn Larder.
'Receiving assists. were Tom Bean, Ma%k
Burbine and Jim Beattie.
On December 29 the Legion Midgets lost a
close one to-Wingham 3 - 1. The lone goal
was scored by Jim Beattie with Rod Nurse
and Brian Chambers receiving assists.
Atoms score two victories
Goderich Atoms blanked Seaforth and
scored one goal in each. period, to win 3-0 in
an exhibition game, played December 30, in
Goderich.
Paul Wheeler,- who has been on tear late-
ly, opened the scoring with his fifth goal in
the last three games. Jason Cook assisted on
the play.
In the second frame, Shawn Carver netted
his first goal of the season, finishing off a
i passing started by Jason Volland and Jamie
Stanley.
Chad Papple recorded the other Goderich
tally, assisted by Sam Hosack.
Goderich netminders Jason Duckworth
and Chuck MacLennan were called upon to
turn away only a few. shots, in order to
record their second shutout of the season.
Earlier in the week. the Atoms outscored

Paul Wheelercored twice for the Atoms,
while Jason Cook and Todd Papple notched
singles.
