Still undefeated, the Goderich Juvenile
Signal Stars downed Dorchester 113 Friday,
and then tied St. Mary's at one on Sunday.
The first period of the Goderich-
Dorchester game was strictly Goderich, as
they lit the scoreboard within the first three
minutes of play when Mark Crawford netted
the puck after receiving a pass from Thn
Chisholm. Five minutes later Keith Hallam
put the puck behind the Dorchester
goaltender, and then with only seconds
remaining in the first period, Paul
McCartney pit Goderich up by three.
The second period saw Goderich score two
quick goals, one by Phil Wood and
McCartney netted his second of the night.
However, Dorchester battled back and
scored one of their own.
Goderich managed to put four more goals
on the board before the end of the period.

Dorchester carne out' irethe third period
fighting, and scored another goal, !flaking
the score stand at 9-2. Goderich respond
with two goals of their own, one by
McCartney and the other by Williamson.
Dorchester scored the final goal of the game
but still lost 11.3.

Jeff Denomme a lot of credit for the 1-1 tie
with St. Mary's on Sunday.
The first period was scoreless but St.
Mary's netted one in the second to take the
lead, and held on to the lead throughout the
period. Pete Willem evened the score in the
third period for Goderich when he took a
pass from Jeff Sargent.
The Juvenile's next game is tonight
(Wednesday) when they travel to Belmont.
Goderich defeated Belmont 6-2 during their
first meeting this season.
Executive tourney success
On Sunday, Little Bowl and the Little Bowl
Five pin bowlers association sponsored the
annual executive tournament. This tour-
nament is designed to honour those people in
every league who work so hard to make
each bowling season a success. There are
three divisions in the tournament made up

of presidents, secretaries, and treasurers.
The winners in each division will be decided
on the basis of pins bowled over average.
This year's winners are: president's
category - Janet Rumig, secretaries'
category - Sharon Henry, treasurers'
category - Vi de Haas.
These people will be going on
to the
Provincial finals in London in January
where they will be rolling off against the
winners from other zones. The winner there
will receive an all expense paid vacation in
Florida.

Little Bowi leagues
are very competitive

MONDAY NIGHT MENS
Little Bowl increased their lead this week
as they scored a decisive 28 - 2 win over
Legion 109. Doug Zoethout and Gerry Pi tre
scored consistent 200 games but a low game
total of 1,521 by Little Bowl was enough to
turn the tide. The second place John's
Jokers also had a good night with a 23 - 7 win
over Selinger Wood. John Miller, Lloyd
Haskell, and Don Carrick all had 600 plus
nights in the win. Carson Milley had a nice
710 triple for Selinger Wood. An 827 triple by
Kevin Rumig and a 688 by Glen Lamb, led
French Cleaners to a 22 - 8 decision over the
Tail Ends. Dennis Schmidt had a 310 single
and 742 triple against them. Roy's Boys
came through with a 20 point night over
A.M.&G. 727 by George Warner and 719 by
Bob Graham helped to seal the win. Ron
Klages rolled a 645 for A.M.&G. Dayle
Wickie came through with a 678 as his Cedar
Lodge team scored a 21 - 9 win over Poverty
Pak. Greg Little rolled a 610 triple for the
Pak.
The MMONDAY NIGHT LADIES
arionettes took over the lead in this
league, as they were on the winning end of a
4 - 3 split with the No -Names. Betty Fisher
rolled a 245 single and Ila Williams had a 576
triple in the win. Jean Mundle rolled a 275
single and Anne McCartney had a 587 triple
for No -Names. Bev Million rolled a solid 602
for the Oldtimers as they upset the previous
leaders Trouble, 7 - 0. Audrey Brindley
rolled a 616 for Trouble. Shirl's Girls also
came through with a 7 - 0 win as they
defeated Auleen's Angels. Dorothy Bour-
deau rolled a 733 and Barb Ahnasi rolled a
699 to lead the team. Auleen Theriault had a
586 triple for the Angels. Another 7 0 win
was recorded by the Blazers, as they
defeated Joyce's Jets. Linda Brown came in
to roll a 284 single and 546 triple for the
Blazers, Fran Doak had a 232 single for the
Jets.
TUESDAY NIGHT FARMERS
The Orioles led this league with 33 points
and they had another fine night as they
scored a 5 - 2 win over the Goderich
Hustlers. A 614 triple by Bob Graham and a
217 single by John Warr led the team. The
Country Pals and Wood Butchers fought to a
4 - 3 split with the Pals winning the extra
point. Berzerko Buddies took a 5 - 2 win from
the Nile team behind a 274 single and 637
triple from Graham Hamilton. The
Goderich Lepperds also took five as they
defeated the Timberjacks. Kevin Wood
rolled a 305 single and 630 triple for the
Lepperds and Steve Fuller had a 258 single
for the Timberjacks. Steve Johnston
chipped m with a 691 triple to help decide the
extra point in a 4 - 3 split between the
Goderich Kids and the Goderich Hayseeds.
His Kids won the draw. Rob Little had an
impressive 306 single and 688 triple for the
Hayseeds.
TUESDAY NIGHT
MIXED
The league leading Pin Pickers increased
their lead as they took a 5 - 2 decision from
Barb's Gang. B: ian Stewart rolled a 667
triple for the Pin Pickers.
Steve Allen for Barb's Gang rolled a 288
single and 733 triple for the night. Gene
Powell, with a 711 triple and Jenny
Langendoen with a 272 single helped their
Bell's Angles defeat the Rookies 4 - 3.
Francis Merkley rolled a 319 single and 719
triple followed by a 259 single by Joanne
Callow for the Rookies. The Frame Ups took
five from the Unknowns behind a 691 triple
by Chris Connor. Judy Andrews had a 590
triple for the Unknowns. The Bowled Eagles
trounced the Pinheads 7 - 0 as Myles Mur-
dock rolled a 235 single and 687 triple. Diane
Sutton also had a 251 single for the Eagles.
Marion Millar led the Pinheads by rolling 40
pins over average. Ernie's Road House also
took five as they defeated the Unpredic-
tables. Don Henry had a fine 266 single and
696 triple for Ernies and John Dicks rolled a
518 for the Unpredictables Dennis Schmidt
rolled a pair of 280's but his Tricky Six went
down to defeat, 5 - 2 against the Dirty Half
Dozen. Joanne Ducharme helped to defeat
them with a 255 single and 662 triple to lead
the Dirty Half Dozen.
LADIES WEDNESDAY
AFTERNOON
The Happy Hippos scored another seven
points this week to increase their lead to
eight points. The Cuddley Bears took the
loss. Shirley Smith had a 285 single and 614
triple followed by a 578 triple from Grace
Mugford.
The Ponies and Eager Beavers split 4 - 3
with Ponies coming out on top. The Ponies
had a solid team effort in winning two
games but a fine 641 triple by Marylou
Mellick helped the Beavers win the pin fall.
The Dainty Deers took five from the Lions,
helped by a 257 single by .Janet Rumig and a
605 triple from Lory Hurlock. Maria Park
had a 217 single for the Lions. The Tigers
also won a 5 - 2 decision over the River Rats.
Mick Chambers and Sheila Brownlee had
200 plus singles in the win while Rose Rising
led the River Rats with a 576 triple. Another
5 - 2 decision was recorded as the Pussy Cats
defeated the Monkeys. Flo Sowerby rolled a
fine 616 for the Cats,and Gail McWhinney led
the Monkeys with a 646. The Running Deers,
behind a 241 single by Ev McInnis,
defeated the Alley Cats 5 - 2. Judy Andrews
rolled a 591 triple to lead the Cats.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT
MENS
The Nimrods took over the lead as they
scored a decisive 7 - 0 win over the previous
league leader Dirk's Galley. A 672 from Paul
Good and a 649 from Dale Jeffrey helped to
clinch the win. Paul Schuette rolled a 287
single and Al Sanders with a 662 triple led
the Galley. Lakeport Steel took five as they
defeated C.C.C.B. It took an 839 by George
Warner, a 705 from Rob Little, and a 704
from Bob Graham to notch the win. Henry
Kolkman rolled a 350 single for C.C.C.B.
Alvin's T.V. remained close with a 7-0 win
over Culberts Bakery. Kevin Harris and
Lloyd Haskell each bettered their average
for Alvins to help in the win. Champion,
behind a 720 triple by Brian Johnston,
defeated Little Joe's 5 - 2.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT
MIXED
The Pits had a 5 - 2 win over the Fizz Mitts
to remain the leaders in this league. Les
Adams rolled an impressive 130 pins over
average to help the pits. Peter DeGroot
rolled a 639 triple and Don Jackson had a 264
single for the Mitts. The Falcons behind a
298 single and 771 triple gained on the leader
with a 7 - 0 win over M & P. Doug Vock led M
& P with a 599 triple. Del Mitchelmore had
the hot hand for the Falcons. Jim Carrick,
with a 656 triple led his Knock Outs to a 5 - 2
win over the Kitchigami Road Runners.
Gerry Bell rolled a nice 250 single for the
Road Runners. The Lowly Rollers also won
five points as they defeated the Pin Bustees.
Diane Mitchelmore led the Rollers with a
595 triple. Steve Allen had a good night with
a 685 triple for the Pin Busters. The Crazy
Six and Park Theatre Mustangs fought to a 4
- 3 split. The Crazy Six won the day as Brad
Chase came through with a 680 triple. John
Allen rolled a 275 single and 622 triple to lead
the Mustangs.
THURSDAY NIGHT
MENS -
Cashway remained the leaders as they
defeated Lakeport 7 - 0. Steve Allen led
Cashway with a 686 triple and Rick Duck-
worth had another fine night with a 719 triple
for Lakeport. The Bombers also took seven
as they defeated the Six Pack. Walter Bell
contributed greatly to the Bombers with an
813 triple. Kevin Rumig rolled a 699 for the
Sixpack. Another 7 - 0 defeat was handed out
by the Spoilers as they defeated Lairds.
Mike Milley led the Spoilers with 627.
THURSDAY MIXED
The Hot Shots, led by Jack Gilbert with a
659 triple continued their winning ways with
a 7 - 0 win over Gummers Bummers. Al
Fisher was the leader for the Bummers with
a 558 triple. Libby's Beans also took seven as
they defeated the Losers. The Ryan's, Lee
and Gene rolled a 656 and 623 respectively to
spark the Beans. Ray Hartin led the Losers
with a 593 triple. The Dizasters took two
points from the Wood Peckers as Dennis
Jaynes rolled a 576 triple. A 585 triple from
Don Poag helped the Wood Peckers to the
win.
THURSDAY NIGHT
LADIES
The Alley Cats took over the lead by virtue
of a 7 - 0 win over the Nighthawks. Kim
Pontas led the Cats with a 527 triple. A fine
212 single was recorded by Mary Lamb for
the Nighthawks. The Wall Bangers lost their
lead as they were defeated 5 - 2 by the
Flyers. Mail Moore led the Flyers with a 616
triple and was equally matched with a 616
from Leone Thom on the Wall Bangers. The
Pin Heads took five points as they defeated
the Yo Yos. Janet Deer led the Pin Heads
and Debbie Clarence led the Yo Yos.
FORESTERS MIXED
LEAGUE
With only three weeks of play left in the
first half of the Foresters League, the
standing really tightened up on Sunday
night. The Mad Bowlers, led by Captain
Tom Willis, picked up two points from the
Bob Cats to tie the league -leading Jack's
Pack team with 28 points each. Jack's Pack
Captain - Jack Gilbert rolled a 675 triple, but
still lost all games to the Missing Pins. Wild
Cats defeated the Gutters 7 - 0 to take third
place with 24 points, Foot Pins are fourth
with 21 points, followed very closely by the
Missing Pins with 20 points. Next Is the Bob
Cats and Stray Cats tied with 18 points and
then the Gutters with 15 t;.t,ints. Soine high
games for the night are, ::Ilan Johnston 720
triple, Brian MacLean 694 triple, Terry
Johns; on 653 triple. President Paul Blair
had a 644 triple. Sharon Johnston had a 277
single and Sheila Sullens a 280 single.
