Katimavik says thanks
Dear Editor;
Once again the fine people of Goderich
and surrounding areas have made the
billeting part of our program, a great two
weeks of learning experiences. We, the
participants of group 26 second rotation of
Katimavik, would like to thank all of the
people who took the time to support and
accept us into their homes, just as if we
were one of the family. They also shared
their knowledge with us.
Billeting is the part of the program
LETTF- P8
everybody looks forward to. You people
have made it worth the wait. Thank you
once again.
Reader doesn't want
threat of destruction
Dear Editor,
The following is written because of faith in
human spirit.
Life and Liberty. Is it possible to have
both? Our society has always thought so,
but, it is questionable now.
A democratic nation is envied for its
freedom and service to the people. A
democratic nation rules by the majority
rote and supplies the people with the oppor-
tunity to gain the basic needs of food,
shelter, education, and security. As citizens
of a democratic society, to what extent do
we want security and protection? Does the
majority truly want nuclear missiles to fight
the enemy?

It is human nature to work for sur-
vival, and nuclear war cannot allow this.
The question is thus raised as to why the
world is armed and ready for nuclear war.
That question is not being answered
reasonably for those of us in fear. We do not
want to hear the arguments. We just want to
live in peace, without the threat of nuclear
destruction.
We, the people of the world, have brough
this fear upon ourselves. Can we not solve it
together?
Please try; for the future of the youth.
Sincerely,
N. J. Sully,
student.
