The Goderich Rotary Club is looking for
memorabilia from the 1940s to use as
decorations for the annual Rotary Ball to be
held this year on November 12 at the
Goderich Township Hall. The theme of this
year's ball is "The Fabulous Forties".
Anyone willing to loan 1940s memorabilia
to the .club, is asked to call 524-2626 during
the day or 5242378 during the evening.

James D. Gower, son of Bill and Mary
Ellen Gower, has graduated from George
Brown College in Toronto as an electronic
engineering technologist. He has accepted a
position with Brian Engineering Ltd. of
Toronto. He is the grandson of Rose Gower
of Goderich and Thomas O'Neill of Clinton.

Cynthia B. Gower, daughter of Bill and
Mary Ellen Gower, has graduated from
Fanshawe School of Nursing, Victoria
Campus, London, as an RN. She has ac-
cepted a position with St. Joseph's Hospital,
London. She is the granddaughter of Rose
Gower of Goderich and Thomas O'Neill of
Clinton.

Colonel D.G. McBride, who has spent the
last year in London, England, is presently
spending a few days in Goderich with his
mother, Mrs. H. Ford and Mr. Ford.

Ken Taylor, a Grade 13 graduate of (A ,
is the recipient of the Andrew and Rheta
Scott Award for the highest average in three
math courses. The award honors A.R. Scott,
a former GDCI principal.
Annual cross
country meet
ROBERTSON
ROUND -UP
On Tuesday, October 18, the annual cross
country meet was held at Point Farms. Five
schools participated.
Robertson was well represented by the
following runners: Paul Hamilton, midget
boys; Alana Graham, midget girls; Paul
Steep, junior boys; Tina Hamilton, junior
girls; Jeff Boyce, intermediate boys;
Jennifer Murray, intermediate girls; Tom
Taylor, senior boys and Debbie O'Brien,
senior girls.
Paul Steep and Jeff Boyce will both
receive medallions for their first place
finishes.
The intermediate boys from Robertson
secured the pennant for this year's run.

The junior wing of the school was built in
1963. When the old high school was torn
down in 1969, the Grade 7 and 8 pupils moved
into the senior wing of Robertson School. It
is known as the Victor Lauriston wing of the
school.
