Tho Bylaw implements the Colborne Township Secondary Plan which was adopted by the Council of the Township of Colborne on September 12. 1977. EFFECT• • This•Bymlaw is designed to regulate by prohibition all new development except that specifically allowed in the By-law and gives Council the legal authority to review any new use not specifically allowed by the Bylaw. Eight teams, siva based in Goderich and two from the Clinton area, will play a 28 game schedule over the next five months. They will play in Goderich on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 10 p.m. to midnight. On Monday evenings they play two games starting at 8:30 and on Wed- nesday they play at 9:30 p.m. On October 16, the Clere-Vu Rockets defeated Garb and Gear 5-2. Bill Crawford scored twice and added one assist. The line of Standen, Rolston and Tom ° O'Brien scored five times to spark O'Briens to an 8-4 victory over Sunset on Sunday. Kevin Merlam and Paul Doughert each scored one and added two assists to lead Sunset. The Monday night game (October 17) saw Mack Frdford ay efgot aid orbiel 44 margin. m making his debut into the -league a very impressive one. The second game of the evening proved to be a high scoring one. Ultramar sneaked by Sunset 88--7 with the help of`Paul hr's threegoals. Laitt Wednesday it was Hodges faclngeff against Garb and Gear. Denis Quinlan scored with just two and a half seconds remaining to give Hodges, a k4 victory over a disappointed Garb and Gear team, O'Briens made it two in a row on Thur- sday hursday by defeating Clere-Vu with a close 54 score. Doug Rolston scored two goals to lead O'Briens. Iry Clinton last Sunday, Hodges came up against an under staffed, but stubborn, Clere-Vu team. Parks. Mommersteeg and Harvey Carter scored on each to give Hodges a 3-2 victory. Goderich Atoms tie away The Goderich Atom team tied Ilderton in Merton on Friday, with a two all score and then came home on Saturday to be defeated by Parkhill 4-1. Goderich opened the scoring against llderton mid -way through the first period when Jared Whalen netted the puck after taking a pass from Sean O'Brien. Ryan Fagan was also credited with an assist. Their lead was short lived as Ilderton came back minutes later to tie the score, but Goderich's Chris Erb quickly regained the lead for his team when he scored after getting a pass from Sam Hosack who had received the puck from Glenn Woodard. With only one minute elapsing in the second period llderton even the score at 2-2. Neither team was able to score during the remaining time. At home against Parkhill, it was Parkhill who opened the scoring with seconds left in -the first period. Goderich netted their first goal half way through the second period when Ryan Fagan found an opening behind the Parkhill goalie. Sean O'Brien and Jared Whalen earned the assists. Fifty-one seconds into play in the third period it was Parkhill who gained a 2-1 lead and then netted two more goals before the game was over, making the final score 4-1. Stars defeat Parkhill In a penalty filled game in Parkhill, the Goderich Signal Stars juvenile hockey team defeated the home team 5-2. Andrew Telford opened the scoring when he took a pass from David Gallow and put it in the net with less than one minute expiring in the first period. Parkhill took a highstieking penalty later in the first period which resulted in Jeff Sargent scoring on the power play. Goderich bounced back minutes later to regain their two goal lead when Tim Jaynes scored another power play goal while David Gallow picked up his second assist of the, game. Parkhill netted the next goal but Goderich replied with two quick shots that resulted in two goals. The marksmen were - Jeff Sargent, making that his second for the night, and Scott Stoll.
