Those who refuse become confused
Dear Editor:
In reply to C. F. Barney's letter "Says
Organizations' Teachings are Confusing.”
1 would like to say there are none so con-
fused as those who refuse to be enlightened.
Christ said "For what shall it profit a
man, if he shall gain the whole world, and
lose his own soul?"
When one considers this quotation, we
must assume that the soul can be subject to
loss.
In another part of the Bible, Eccl. 8:8
states that no man has power over the spirit,
and in Ecel. 12:7, it states that the spirit
goes back to God that gave it. This, in my
opinion, is very clear that every individual
corn has the spirit of God within

"Behold, what manner of love the
Father hath bestowed upon us, that we
should be called the sons of Grid: therefore
the world knoweth us not, because it knew
him not. Beloved, now are we the sons of
God, and it doth not yet appear what we
shall be; but we know that, when he shall
appear, we shall be like him; for we shall
see him as he is. And every lean that hath
this hope in him purifieth himself, even as
he is pure. Whosoever comnlitteth sin
transgresseth also the law; for sin is the
transgression of the law. And ye know that
he was manifested to take away our sins;
and in him is no sin. Whosoever abideth in
him sinneth not; whosoever sinlieth hath
riot seen him either known him. Little
children, let no man deceive you; he that
doeth righteousness is righteous, even as
he is righteous. He that conunitteth sin is
of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the
beginning. For this purpose the Son of God
was manifested, that he might destroy the
works of the devil. Whosoever is born of
God doth not commit sin; for his seed re-
maineth in him; and he cannot sin,
because he is born of God". 11 John 3:1-9)

chman unto the house of Israel; therefore
hear the word at my mouth, and give them
warning from me. When I say unto the
wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou
givest him not warning, nor speakest to
warn the wicked from his wicked way, to
save his life; the same wicked mean shall

Individuals, on earth, are here to find out
if they will permit the spirit that God has
given everyone, to resuscitate the soul that
died during the fall of Adam, and take it
back to God at the point of death.
If such is not the case, the spirit goes back
to God who gave it, minus the soul, without
the individual's expression, or personality.
The Lord's Prayer teaches confession.
This is a step in the right direction.
Does one become perfect all of a sudden?
No. By faith and trust in the supreme
sacrifice that Christ made, we eventually
reflect his perfection. There isn't any
goodness in us. The Bible teaches us there is
no one good but God.

delivered thy soul. Again, when a
righteous man doth turn from his
righteousness, and commit iniquity, and 1
lay a stumbling block before him, he shall
die; because thou hast not given him warn-

righteousness which he hath done shall not

lambs. This was accepted by God, because
they were looking forward to the supreme -
sacrifice, that Christ would make on the

Abraham was asked by God to sacrifice
his only son. This was a test by God to see if
Abraham would do what God intended to do
Himself. We can be thankful Abraham pass-
ed the test with flying colors.
It is obvious that our redemption
originated with the Hebrews.
