Bee pollen helps
recover stamina
Bee pollen has a reputa-
tion as a "superfood" among
athletes and physical fitness
buffs, reports Executive
Fitness Newsletter.
There are those who feel it
is good for all that ails you,
as well as being a sex gland
stimulant, a life extender, an
acne cure and a diet tool.
But the newsletter warns
that although it seems to
have its uses, bee pollen is
most beneficial to young
bees, and no reputable
research has shown it
deserves its reputation as a
human cure-all.
And because some people
have allergic reactions to
bee pollen, medical
authorities insist it should
not be used to treat allergy
problems, even though that
seems to be one of its
popular uses.
On the positive side, initial
studies show that eating bee
pollen helps athletes recover
their stamina and endurance
faster and enables them to
be ready for another event
more quickly. It also has
been successful in the treat-
ment of some prostate pro-
blems.
The Lung Association
believes that smokers can
recover their stamina by
becoming nonsmokers —
and they're ready to help.
