Stained Glass s
Learn the basic fundamentals in the art
of Tiffany Style glass work. Topics
include: the history, pattern making,
cutting, copper foiling, soldering and
assembling. Students will make a small
window and, time permitting, two other
projects. Candidates should expect to
spend at least $50 on tools and materi-
als.

Introduction To Watercolours S
Students will explore the methods and
techniques used in the watercolours
mediurrl. Topics include preparation of
sketching, composition, proportions and
the effects of light and shadow. Students
will be encouraged to experiment with
styles and techniques leading to devel-
opment of a more personal impression.

Introduction To Advertising
Design A
The aim of this course will be to
encourage the awareness of commercial
design and design problems and limita-
tions for the printing and advertising
field. Students will undergo an initial
course in printing technology including
typographic exposure. The practical
aspect of this course will involve
assignments in design fundamentals,
mechanical art and letterform exercises
related to the theories of printing tech-
nology.

Introduction to Air Traffic Control S
This course is not part of the formal
A.T.C. training. However, it will be of
value to those who may wish to enter this
field. It is also useful for student or
private pilots, or those with an interest in
civil aviation.
Topics include: Ground Control and Air
Control; designated Air Space, Airways,
Authority of Aviation, Airport Lighting,
Aircraft Recognition, a field trip to a local
ATC unit, VER Flight Procedures, VER,
SVER Weather Minima, CVER and
Weather Requirements, NORDO and
RONLY Procedures, Wake Turbulence,
Weather Limits IFR, Cruising Altitudes,
Meteorology.

This course is designed to help students
practise and develop further the skills

acquired in the Basic Assertiveness
Training course. The student will do
self -assessments and assertive, invento-
ries. Tape recorder s, mirrors and video
tape recorders are used in the assess-
ment process. Students are helped to
gain skills of their own choosing.

Basic Assertiveness Training For
Adults

Assertiveness is defined as the ability to
respond to a manipulative situation in a
non-aggressive, non -passive way. If you
do not have this skill, if you are not
getting where you want to go, then this
program is for you. There are no prere-
quisites.
This course will be conducted in a
workshop format and will involve a
theory and a practical experience com-
ponent. The experiential component will .
be emphasized and will entail working
through a hierarchy of manipulative
situations using assertiveness tech-
niques. Resulting emotions and con-
sequences will be explored.

Fur Management S
This trapper education course designed
to encourage proper human trapping
and fur management techniques, is
made available through the co-operation
of the Waterloo -Blenheim Trappers'
Council, the Ministry of Natural Re-
sources and Conestoga College. This
conservation -oriented program of study
is designed to provide the trapper with
the techniques for harvesting the annual
fur crop in the most humane manner and
at the same time relieve the community
of many potential nuisance animal
problems. Class lectures and practical
demonstrations will feature where,
when, and how to trap and with what
type of trap, skinning, preparing pelts for
market, and legal aspects of trapping.

Fur Management - Advanced
Trapper Education S
This course is made available through
the co-operation of the Waterloo -
Blenheim Trappers Council, the Ministry
of Natural Resources and Conestoga
College.
The course is designed for those
trappers who wish to expand their
trapping knowledge beyond the manda-
tory course. Greater emphasis will be
placed upon management of your tra-
pline; trap sets, conduct of the trapper,
nuisance animal removal, talking to
groups, and fur grading. Each applicant
to supply a rough skinned muskrat,
raccoon, mink, and beaver.
Prerequisite: Applicants must have at
least three years active trapping experi-
ence and hold a current trapping
licence. Applicants must be approved by
the Ministry of Natural Resources.

Guitar Courses S
Courses in Basic, Intermediate and
Classical Guitar are offered. Learn the
chords, notes and musical theory of
guitar playing. A guitar is required and
should be brought to the first class. Any
