Couple return from trip
Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Mac -
C ostiie have returned home
from a three week tour of
.t I', Scotland, Ireland
Wales. They report each
country had its own special
attractions and beauty. The
weather was perfect; they
met many people and en-
joyed the tour immensely.
While it was all different
they were glad to be back
home as Huron ,bounty has
many attractions and still
tops the list.
Tiger Dunlop Women's In-
stitute picnic meeting for Ju-
ly was cancelled, partly
because many of the
members were on holidays
and doing other things and
partly because several
members were attending the
funeral of a former member,
Miss Margaret Mitchell.
Plans are for a meeting
sometime in August.
The Colborne Township
Recreation Committee
meeting was called for Mon-
day evening August 1, but
due to softball and holidays
attendance was not suffi-
cient for a quorum. Swimm-
ing lessons for Colborne
Township boys and girls at
Vanastra will be completed
this week. Reports are that
the children have enjoyed
the facilities and lessons. A
special thanks to those who
supervised the childeeen nit
the bus and at the pool, your
help has been very much ap-
preciated.
