R is interesting to note that John Hagerdorn attended Port Albert School from 194143. He is now in business in Waterloo and the family have had a cottage at Port Albert for 56 years, which must be something of a record. In a few weeks, the Bauer family will Yirgve to Hensall where Rick Bauer is employed- by Dan -Brie in the manufacture of plastic seats for tricycles. Just recently while at work, Rick received a burn to his hand: He was a patient in Victoria Hospital for 10 days. The hand bas improved greatly and Rick hopes to return to work shortly. (Dan. Brie plant is in Exeter). The Bellinger family have a young crow as a boarder. It has been around for a month. Just recently it flew away with several other crows, and the Bellingers thought it had left for good, but within an hour it was back. While being fed„it is quitetalkative. 1 Dave and Margaret Cowan from Hudson, Florida who have been vacationing rolls area for the mouth of July, have purchased a summer home at Maitland Valley Park, Goderich. . Pave Cowan was -born in Kintail and Margaret Cowan is the former Margaret Stewart from Dungannon. Since arriving from Florida, the Cowa>fts have been busy visiting their many relatives and friends in this area. Ball an June M. Mrs,. Beverley O'Brien of Godes ieb was the matron of honor and Jinx Denomy of Goderich was the groomsman. Guests were ushered into the church by Steve Gardiner of Goderich, brother of the bride and Harold Leddy of Goderich, brother of the groom. Following the wedding ceremony, an outdoor reception was held at the residence of Steve Gardiner, 342 Mill Road. After a train trip to Quebec City, Mr. and Mrs. James Robert Leddy took up residence at 217 Britannia Read, East in Goderich. (Photo by Colleen Maguire) Club holds p icnic The Goderich Golden Gate Seniors Club held its annual picnic at Harbor Park on Ju- ly 20 at .2, p.m. The cool breeze off La&e%l ori ii Made the hot summer day seem more comfortable for the 50 members present. An afternoon of fun and games was well planned by the executive and social committee. The members participated in such contests as croquet, pass the orange, roll the bottle, darts, ring everyone enjoyed a smorgasbord supper. During the afternoon, a farewell card was signed by the members for Jessie and Mel Snell who have moved to British Columbia. They have been faithful long-time members of the Golden Gate Club. Most members reported the picnic was one of the bet- ter outings. Three out-of- town visitors attended. The oldest man present was 85 year old Frank Saunders, who, with his two daughters, son-in-law and great-grandson, had travelled from Bobcaygeon the morning of the picnic. The wedding anniversary on the day of the picnic was celebrated by Jean and Pete Imanse. The music of the Goderich Laketown Band was enjoyed in the evening.
