children three to six years of
age, that gives the children a
variety of activities to keep
them busy.
The program is -called the
Bert and Ernie Club and
gives the children a chance
to have fun with other
children and, at the same
time, learn some new crafts.
"In the mornings they'll
come in and paint or play
with the blocks. In the after-
noons
fternoons we take them on
special activites," explained
Lisa Ryan, supervisor of this
year's program.
In the Community Centre,
where the program has been
held for the last two of its
four year existence, iS a wide
range of activitiesthat range
from painting to playing
with building blocks, and
from singing to playing with
water.
Five-year-old -Danny
Brindley is now back to the
Bert and Ernie Club for his
third summer. He enjoys
making crafts and designs,
but "I like the beach best
because we get to swim," he
explained.
However, Skip Symes, who
is back for his second .sum-
mer, enjoyed his visit to
Maitland Manor the most.
"I like to go to that house
the best because a know
some of the people," he add-
ed.

starting her second year in
Early Childhood Education
