Concern was expressed by
Mrs. Audrey Graham on an
article which recently ap-
peared in an area paper
regarding a dog and a puppy
which had been abandoned.
She felt that this was an
example of the need for a
shelter in this area where
unwanted animals could be
taken instead.
The board decided to have
a booth at the Dungannon
Fair on August 19 and 20 and
also at the Bayfield Fair on
August 26 and 27 to provide

Says Canada should have the draft
Dear Editor,
The "Me" generation of
Canada has staged a very
elaborate (test against the
testing of the Cruise missile.
By so doing, they have
violated the law in Toronto,
and they are subject to fines_
They also are guilty of
violating the institution of
marriage and a high per-
centage of abortions that are
performed are among this
group -
They have been educated
to do whatever turns them
on. Seventy-five percent of
them are more than likely
pushing dope, and it's the
first time in history there has
ever been such an exhibition
in Canada or the U.S. against
defence of their country.
Is it purely coincidental
that this should occur so
shortly after the visit of the
Politburo to Canada? Was
the self-appointed peace
ambassador to Moscow, and
his colleagues and also the
group of doctors, instigators
of this action under guidance
from the Kremlin?
It only proves one thing in
my mind: that Canada
should have an army draft,
and they should get paid for
Videotape shows how to
conduct a job interview
Dear Editor,
Many students are ex-
periencing difficulties ob-
taining summer jobs. Apart
from a lack of summer jobs
available, the next largest
difficulty students ex-
perience obtaining a sum-
mer job is conducting a good
job interview. As a result,
the Canada Employment
Centres for Students will be
presenting a 20 minute taped
program on the Bluewater
Cable TV Community Chan-
nel (Channel 12) outlining
some of the do's and don'ts of
interviewing.
The videotape contains an
interview with Jay Camp-
bell, weatherman of CFPL
Channel 10 news and co-
owner of Earl Campbell's
Jewellers, Exeter, as well as
coverage of both incorrect
and correct interview techni-
ques.
I encourage anyone who is
experiencing difficulties in
this area to watch the film;
or if you happen to be home
at the time and are in-
terested in seeing the filming
