Peewees win two and tie a third
The Goderich Legion Peewees enjoyed a
productive week winning two games and
tying a third in league play.
The peewees began the week with a 5-5 tie
agpmst St. Marys but they got rolling from
there whipping Exeter 16-2 and then adding
Clinton to its list of victims with a 7-1 vic-
tory.

In the game in St. Marys, Goderich took
the lead in the fourth inning scoring three
runs on just two hits. Andy Orr started the
inning with a lead-off double and advanced
to third on John McDonagh's sacrifice. With
two out, Tim Harrison walked and Scott
Garrow delivered a twierusi- e_ csarrawe
later scored from third on a pickoff attempt
to boost Goderich into a three -run lead.
St. Marys replied with two rims in their
half of the fourth to make the score 3-2 but
Goderich got single runs from Orr and
Gamow in the fifth and sixth innings rep-
sectively to hold a 5-2 lead. St. Marys tied
the game with three runs in their half of the
sixth to produce the 5-5 tie.
Goderich completely dominated Exeter in '
its second game of the week, scoring 16 runs
on 12 hits.
Garraw, Byron Bowman and Jason
Million scored three runs each for the
winners. Orr and Bill Whestone chipped in
with two rims apiece_ Bowman pitched four
innings before giving way to David Brown in
relief. Each pitcher allowed one run.
In its final game of the week, Goderich
scored five times in the first two innings and
coasted to a 7-1 victory over Clinton.
Bowman delivered a key two -rim triple in

Whetstone tripled and scored on Orr's single 'r

year's winner of the Molsons' Pace,
has been Pacing around 2:03 this year.

Vanstone, is a crowd favorite and has
been pacing around 2:04.
Sensational Sal is owned by John
Anderson and Cliff Penalagan Of Lon-
