The July meeting of the
Dungannon .Women's Insti-
tute was held Thursday
evening, July 7 at the home
of Donna Snyder. President,
Winnifred Girvin, welcomed
twelve members and two
guests.
Roll call was name an
agricultural commodity that
a province is noted for. Peg
Purdon gave a reading from
The Good Old Days of Aunt
Edith and the Pig Treetment.
Donna Snyder introduced
Marian Taylor of the sixth of
East Wawanosh. She gave a
humorous talk of how life on
the farm helps keep dairy
princesses beautiful with the
milk bath, soft water bath,
and the mud bath, and a
short history of dairy farming
as it used to be.
She conducted a milk quiz
and gave a story on cheese
and demonstrated serving
cheeses with fruits for spec-
ial occasions. She concluded
with a display of cooking with
milk, cook books and posters
- "the faster life gets, the
more sense milk makes".
Lucky tea cups were Olive
Chisholm and Marian Zinn
receiving dairy shopping
bags.
Donna Snyder thanked the
dairy princess and presented
her with a gift.
Pennies for friendship was
a penny for every chair in
your house, Lunch was serv-
ed by hostesses, Willetta
