tries having participated.
The program was founded
by a group of Canadian
citizens interested in the role
of youth in contemporary
society; a society where it is
becoming increasingly ap-
parent that in order to live in
the world of today and
tomorrow, people must
develop tolerance and open-
ness to values and ways of
doing things which are
foreign to them. They must
be willing to become involv-
ed in the complex issues of
development.
Larry will participate in
• the program -for seven mon-
ths. His particular' exchange
is with the country of the
Dominican Republic. The
Third World experience is
only one part of the Canada

Twenty-five million
units of blood donated
July marks the beginning
of the countdown to the 25
million mark — 25 million
units of blood donated by
Canadians from coast-to-
coast since the Canadian
Red Cross Blood Transfusion
Service began in 1947.
It also marks a tremen-
dous accomplishment on the
part of Canadians, says
David S. Catton, National
Chairman of the Canadian
Red Cross Blood Donor
Recruitment Committee.
"Without the willing dona-
tion of blood by so many
Canadians, thousands of
lives would have been lost
and the quality of many
more would have been
severely reduced."
"The Red Cross, on behalf
of all those who have ever
needed blood, thanks blood
donors for this precious gift
of life," Catton said.
"Please keep -up the good
work. Help us reach the 25
million mark and keep on go-

We
apologize.
To all you people who bought a Lennox Pulse
high efficiency gas furnace from us last year,
we just want to say that 600 -odd dollar price
decrease this Spring came as a surprise to us,
too. It's mainly because they are being made in
Canada now, For what it's worth, we carried
one over the winter in our stock, arid it will
have to he sold at 1983 price. Win some, lose
some.
It isn't all bad. You bought the most efficient
gas furnace in the world, and you've saved
more than the money would have earned in
interest, and interest is taxable. Pulse savings
isn't.
On the other hand, in retrospect, maybe we'd
all better stay away from the ten dollar window
at the track -

We
