Carlow chalked up its first victory of the season with a 19-4 decision over Garb and Gear. Cedar Lodge and Sifto Salt battled it out to a 74 draw while Little Bowl pounded the Goderich Elevators 26- 12. Falling behind early in the game, the Bears battled back to edge Gas Rite 12-8. The Renegades continued their solid performance by downing Bluewater 13-3. Keith Allen's Canadian Tire team unleashed their bats in a 35-16 victory over Local 1863. The Coyotes edged Harbour Park Raiders by a score of 8-5 while Little Bowl blanked Sifto Salt 10-0. Meneset picked up their first win of the seacnn in a very close 12-11 decision over Garb and Gear. Three other games were rained out. Ticker's finally hit the fine column as their umpires failed to show up for a game on May 15. The winners for the even- ing were: low gross first flight - Gerry Mountford; low net first flight - Doris Pa- quette; low gross second flight Verna Kane; low net second flight - Joan McDougall; low gross third flight - Marilyn Cornish; low net third flight - Bud Elliot ; and low gross fourth flight - Mary Lapaine; low net fourth flight - Catherine Walsh. Putting prize winner for the evening was Marie Huff. The weather was rather cold for men's night on Mon- day, May 16 but 25 men brav- ed rayed the weather. First winner was Ken Hall with 32 net. Se- cond was Gerald Morgan with 32% net. Third was a tie between Bill Hanly and Ross Patterson. Other winners were: Andy Boutilier, Bob McDougall, Jack Gould, Bob Sproule and Jack Hinton. Bridge scores On_ Tuesday, May 17 the Goderich Duplicate Bridge Club held a nine -table Mit- chell itchell game with the average score being 108. Jean Cook and Verna Wor- thy were . first overall and North-South with ,.1153 ; Frank and. Jim Donnelly were second with 122%; Helen Tench and Ed Mutter were third with 121%; and Mary Donnelly and Eleanor Erskine were fourth with 119%. Barb Howe and Marian Lane led East-West with 132%; Mary Ann Dempsey and Pat Stringer were se- cond with 120; 1Joanne Duckworth and Lee Ryan were third with 111%; and Helen Gardiner and Audrey Tobin were fourth with 108%.
