Welkom in
Klompen Feest
It been a year now since many of you visited us m
Clinton, and again it's time to call out the traditional May
greeting, "Welkom in Clinton Klompen Feest."
That means, Welcome to the Clinton Wooden Shoe
Festival and on May 20 and 21 the entire town and
surrounding communities will be joining in to present the
third annual Klompen Feest.
Last year the Toronto Star called Klompen Feest, "an

Attendance figures at the last two Feests have clearly

the two-day celebration.
As you will read in this special souvenir edition,
Klompen Feest honors the many Dutch immigrants who
settled in this area more than 25 years ago. The Feest
boasts the fine friendships and acquaintances that have

people to the, betterment of our community.
This booklet also offers a complete list of events
scheduled for the May 20 and 21 event. A very special
addition this year will be a complete list of traditional and
modern Dutch songs that will be performed by the
Klompen Feest Festival Singers.
Whether you can sing Dutch or not, Klompen Feest is
truly an event for all nationalities. The Feest celebrates
this fine country, the freedom and opportunity it has given
many people. So as they say in the Netherlands,
