City., Man, and a former resident of
ttttit Exeter died at the hospital in Hanna
N. D. The deceased was 59 years of
age and his death was due to ;blood-
poisoninig. He is survived by his
widow, who was Miss Emily Harrison
daughiier of Mrs. Chas Harrison of
town', also eleven children seven sons,
and four daughters.
Horse Drowns, .Man Escapes -0n
Taesday afternoon last es Mx. James
Shipton and son irilfred, of 'Stephen
Were. driving along the road abouts
three miles west of town, 'they met
with an aceidont which resulted in
losing a horse and Mr. Shapton nar-
rnwly escaping from, drowning. Mir.
Shepton was driving :e three year
old colt, which had been hitched on-
ly a few times; when they ea.me to
a place near 1:Le river where the
water was running ever the road
The colt jumped to the left and both
occupants were thrown into the wat-
er Wilfred who had only 'canned
to swim last summer, -swam to the
fence end assisted in getting his
father out, the latter being in an
exhausted conditioner. When s.bey
left the spot nothing was to be seen
of the cart or horse, They were
driven home by Wm .Sanders a
ne ighbor.
