It was at very enjoyable
evening and as usual a large
crowd attended and all the
students performed
especially well.

Women's Institute met at
Colborne Township Hall on
Thursday, April 28 at 12:30
p.m. for their annual
meeting which commenced
with a noon luncheon.
President, Mrs. R.
Buchanan presided and the
afternoon opened with 0
Canada, the Institute Grace,
the luncheon, the Opening
Ode and the Mary Stewart
"Collect.
Mrs. Buchanan thanked
everyone for making the
Institute's 35th anniversary
•
celebrations a success.

There was also a thankyou
note from Mr. and Mrs. G.
Kaitting.
Members were asked to
complete the "Members'
Report" in the book `'More
Cents Than Dollars"
distributed at the March
meeting and to then send this
report on to the Ministry of
Agriculture and Food office
in Clinton.
Minutes of the 1982 annual
meeting were then read and
adopted. The following
secretaries and standing
committee conveners, then
gave their reports: Mrs. A.
Stoll -secretary -treasurer's
report; Mrs. J. Horton..

A motion was passed by.
Mrs. J. Horton seconded by
Mrs. A. Youngthat officers
and conveners retain
positions for another year.
Mrs. Chandler, Huron
West District President, then
installed the officers for the
1983-84 term. These will be
recorded at. the May
meeting.
Mrs. R. Buchanan con-
sented to be president for
another year and thanked
the officers and all members
for their cooperation in the
past years 'and asked for
support in the coming year.
Members agreed to cater
to the Colborne Central
School Grade 8 graduation
banquet.
It was decided that the
officers and conveners would
meet in Colborne Township
Hall Monday, May 9 at 1 p.m.
to plan the program from the
coming term.
The meeting then ad-
journed with the payment of
fees. The next meeting will
be Thursday, May 26 in

period April 1 to May 15, 1983, a wide range
of health benefits not included in the govern-
ment sponsored Ontario Health Insurance
Plan (OHIP),
Between April 1 and May 15. 1983, any
Ontario resident, regardless of age or previ-
ous medical history can purchase Blue Cross
coverage on a "pay -direct" basis for the
major portion of the cost of such benefits as
• prescription drugs
• private duty registered nursing
• use of semi -private and private room
in hospital; and others.

whose wedding its planned
for Saturday; May 21 in the
Victoriah Inn, Stratford
During the evening,
several'short readings
contest were enjoyed by
everyone and afterthe bride-
to-be received gifts and best
wishes from her friends,
relatives and neighbours;
she thanked everyone,
especially the ladies of the
neighbourhood who
organized the shower: She
invited all to an open
reception in Saltford on
Saturday evening, May 21
following her wedding.
Mrs. Laurie Little and
Mrs. Beth Feagan held a
miscellaneous shower for
Nancy Lansdell of Kintore
area near London3 Her
marriage to Mark Ker-
nighan is planned for
Saturday, May 14. •
It was a friendly evening of
getting acquainted and
visiting. After receiving
many lovely gifts, Nancy
thanked all for theirthough-
fulness, especially her future
sister-in-law, Mrs. Little and
Mrs. F'eagan for putting on •
the shower: She said she
looked forward to meeting
everyone again when she
and her husband take up ,
residence at R.R. 2
Goderich.
Euchre. Party
The euchre card party held
in Colborne Township Hall
last Thursday evening, April
28 drew .a crowd of 12 tables
of players, who, by all
reports, had a very en-
joyable evening. Winners
were: • ladies -Cora Caesar
and. Margaret Jewell and
gents-Buelah Long and Olive
Shields ( both playing as
gents).
The next euchre party will
be Thursday, May 12 at 8
p.m. Everyone please bring
lunch.

Mr. and Mrs. Eric
Reaburn, who, have been
living part-time in . Walton
this past winter while
operating their feed mill,
have moved: back to their
"Bothe at 'pIt.R. 5 G;oderi l: X.,;
(Sunset Beach Road). Their'
sons Jim of Vancouver. and
Earl helped them move.
Earl was home for, a few
days and left for Shell Lake;
Saskatchewan, Summer
Mission Field. Jim has
returned to Vancouver.
Sincere sympathy to John
and Kathleen Fitton of
Meneset Park in the death of
their daughter, Mrs. Karen
Elizabeth King of London.
Kathleen Fitton was the
former Kathleen Robertson
of Goderich. Her father and
mother operated a jeweller's
store on the Square for many
years.
Mrs. Morgan King of
Sunset Beach has been a
patient in Alexandra Marine
• and General Hospital,
Goderich and her many
friends wish her better
health.

for salt on May 2 and cleared
harbor the same day foi
Milwaukee.
The Ontadoc arrived from
Thunder Bay for grain on
May 2 and cleared harbor
the same day for
Collingwood with a part load.
