Districts, Federation of
Agriculture's annual
meeting will be held tonight
at 7:30 pm. in the Lucknow
and pi$Olet Community'
Centre, The guest speaker
will be. the Minister of
Agriculture and Food,
Dennis Timbrell.
Although the meeting is
intended for residents of
East and West Wawanosh,
Ashfield and Colborne
townships anyone living in
Huron or Bruce County is
invited to attend.

Party and former Minister
of State for Fitness and
Amateur Sport, will • be
speaking Thursday April 21
'at a dinner in Mitchell spon-
sored by the Perth -Huron
Liberal Riding Association.
The dinner to be held at the
Mitchell and District Com-
miunty Centre marks her
first visit to the area. Social
Hour commences at 6:30
p.m. with the $25.00 -a -plate

Club holds
meeting
The Goderich and District
After 5 Club met on March 29
at the Candlelight
Restaurant for another in-
formal and inspiring even-
ing.
With "Easter" as our
theme, music for the evening
was provided by Ron, Ruth
and Brad Ashton, singing
-"Bridge Over Troubled
Water" and "Rise Again".
Hilda Sampson gave a very
informative and interesting
talk on Egg Decorating -
Ukranian style. Our guest
speaker, Mara -Lee Olson,
chairman of the London
Christian Women's Club,
and wife of a neuro -surgeon,
touched many hearts as she
shared her life's experiences
and how Christ has helped
her to handle victoriously,
her daily responsibilities.
The next event will be on
Tuesday, April 26,1983,7:30 -
9:30 pp. at the Candlelight
Restaurant.
Judi McMichael of "Jana
Natural Foods", will talk on
natural foods and our misic
for the evening will be pro-
vided by Mary Hearn, a har-
pist from Clinton. Marilyn
Day of Kitchener will be our
inspirational Speaker.

Dr. Peters
appointed
Dr. James Peters, Vice -
Chairman of the Public
Utilities Commission of the
Town of Goderich, has been
re -appointed Chairman of
the Public Relations Com-
mittee of, the Ontario
Municipal Electric Associa-
tion (O.M.E.A.).
The announcement was
made by Jack Wratten,
President of the O.M.E.A.
Dr. Peters will work with
fellow commissioners from
across the Province of On-
tario for the next year. The
Public Relations Committee
will develop public pro-
grams that can be utilized by
municipal utilities, in addi-
tion to the public relations of
the organization.
The Ontario Municipal
Electric Association is the
spokesman for more than 320
municipal electric utilities
throughout Ontario. The
commissioners and coun-
dillors of the member
utilities are elected or ap-
pointed to operate a
specialized service. They
represent more than two
thIUIon residential, commer-
cial and industrial
customers served by the
municipal distribution
system; who consume two-
thirds Of the electric power
in Waif°.
