surance coverage to the
amount of protection
recommended by the Frank
Cowan Company, at an in-
creased cost of $508 an-
nually.
The motion was passed
after council heard a
presentation review from
agent ` Frank Foran and
Gordon: Sheehan of Frank
Cowan Insurance Company
on the township's insurance
coverage.
Tenders examined
Council, accepted the
tender of Bannerman
Contracting Ltd., Kin-
cardine, for the crushing and
hauling of approximately
25,000 cubic yards at $1.43
per cubic ,yard and stock-
piling approximately 500
cubic yards at $1 per yard.
Bannerman Contracting
won the tender over three
other firms.
In a seperate motion
council voted to accept to
purchase gravel to be
crushed from the ' firm of
Johnston Bros. Ltd., of
Dungannon at a cost of 44
cents per cubic yard from_
the north bank and 54 cents
per cubic yard from the west
bank.
Price accepted
Council accepted a price
quotation from Pollard Bros.
for liquid calcium chloride
for the 1983 season for $171.25
per flake ton equivalent.

issued to G. Park for a house
addition, W. Hardy a shed
and E. Gingerich, a house
and shed addition.
No decision made
The lane constructed by
Charles Johnston at Nile,
and deeded to the township
by.. Mr: Johnston was
discussed. No decision to
dedicate the road as part of
the township's road system
was made pending further
information from the
Ministry. of Transportation
and Communications and the
Municipal Solicitor.
Petition accepted
Council passed a motion
that the township accept the
petition for drainage signed
by Douglas and Harold
Gaunt and others.
Bylaws passed
Council passed a bylaw
authorizing the construction
of the Borland drain
( Colborne Township) and the
levy of assessments on
owners in West Wawanosh
Township for the cost of
construction.
Council also passed a
bylaw authorizing repairs to
the Young's Creek drain by
Colborne Township and the
levy of assessments to cover
the share of costs due from
West Wawanosh Township
owners.
A bylaw was passed
establishing the Lucknow
District Fire Department as o
West Wawanosh fire
department and regulates its
activities.
4-H group enjoys
.Italian dishes
The sixth meeting of the
Port Albert Pioneers was
held at Lisa Smith's home on
Saturday, April 16. The party
was based on Italian food.
The girls had lasagna,
spaghetti and garlic bread
' for"dinner.
All the members, their
mothers and their guests
gathered around the table to
say the 9-H pledge, which
was led by the president.
Once everyone was
finished eating the members
sat inthe kitchen. The
minutes were read, the
treasurer's report was given
and then the members
discussed taking a trip to a
museum.
The two guests from the
Kinettes who attended the
meeting were Debbie Bauer
and Doreen McNeil.
The meeting was closed
with the 4-H motto.

Sarah Punter, 7, was approached by two, teenagers

' She managed to escape -and ran across Bennett
Street to her Rich Street home.
The girl's father., Allan Fulker, said the girls of the
Grade 2 classwere released, a few minutes before the
rest of the school and that his daughter was walking
across the schoolyard alone when the youths ap-
proached. The parents were not aware of the incident
until late Friday evening when Sarah related the
story aind police were called.
Goderich Police visited the girl Saturday morning,
have a description of the two youths and are now
conducting an investigation into the incident.
