In the-Cayley contest, GDCI placed eighth out of ' 20 schools,. In . the Pascal contest, GDCI placed tenth out of 21 schools. The Euclid contest for Grade 12 and the Descartes. contest for Grade 13 will both be held on Wednesday, April 20. ,1, In the Pascal contest, Jeff Scott, Angela Schneider and Kenny Logtenberg placed first, second and third respectively and will receive team certificates. Jeff will receive the school champion medal. Certificates of Merit will be awarded to Jeff, Angela, Kenny, and Mike Howe and Baird Robinson for placing among the top 25 per cent of contestants in Canada. GDCI made the Provincial Team Honor Roll by placing 42nd out of 517 secondary schools competing in Ontario. Shawn and Chris will receive Certificates of Distinction for placing in the top ten.of all contestants in Canada. Darryl and Teresa Cannon, Joan Hendriks and Dinesh Weerasooriya will receive. Certificates of Merit for placing among the top 25 per cent of contestants in Canada. Shawn Doherty, will not only receive the school champion medal but also placed on the Canadian Student Honor Roll which means that he is among the top one percent of all con- testants in Canada. This is a significant achievement because there were over 40,000 contestants from over 1300 secondary schools across Canada.
