her efforts, we were able to

Secondly, a word of deep
gratitude to • Marian
Doucette, a very talented
and creative individual.
Marian worked with the
"Kids" on puppets but what
was so delightful for me, was
having someone with whom I
could share and develop
ideas.
Thirdly, I would like to
thank the parents and guar-
dians for being so supportive
and encouraging throughout
the year.
And, "lastly, a very special
word of gratitude to Sun-
• 'coast Mall for providing a
super space in which to hold
our first annual art display
and puppet show on Satur-
day, April 2.
The "Art Kith" program
will resume in the fall. If any
of you are interested in
future information, please
feel free to call me at 524-
9442 or the Recreation Office
at 524-2125 and we will put
you on a mailing list. Classes
will be organized for young
people approximately 10-14
years of age.
Thank you Kids for being
so much fun and producing
such `neat work'.
• Sincerely,
Mona Istrati-

Restraint for whom?
Dear Editor,
I hope the public took note
of the fact that only one
member of the past council
1981-82 voted in favor of a
salary increase in 1983.
To me it was ludicrous that
four newly elected inernbers
to council followed this ex-
ample and voted for an in-
crease. Is there any proof
that they are worthy of such
an increase so early in their
tOrm of office? It is' similar
t an employee asking an.
employer for a raise after
only three months on the job.
What makes it more m -
credible is for a new
member to move that a. re-
quest from the P.U.C. asking
for the same consideration
• be tabled. How anyone can
vote themself a raise and
then have the audacity to
question the same increase
for another elected commit-
tee is beyond me. To make
• matters more ridiculous,
council at budget time turn-
ed down a request from the
tourist committee asking for.
a 'fifty dollar increase in
their honorarium per year.
(They now receive one hun-
(red and fifty dollars a
year.) All candidates talked
restraint at election time but
