The Garb and Gear novice team wound up the hockey season with a game against their
mothers at the local arena last Thursday evening. The mothers may have had size on their
side, but the novices had the experience. (Photo by Joanne Buchanan)
The Goderich petite ringette team challenged their mothers to a,game on Sunday, March 13.
Using the net to help keep her balance, grandmother Ruth Oke looks a little hesitant as the
ring bounces off her shoulder. Although most of the mothers hadn't been on skates ina long
time the game ended in a 4-4 tie.( photo by T.Marr)

come to an Introductory meeting to assess the feasibility of forming a Christian High
school In the Clinton area,
Our mutual supreme standard shall be the Word of God - Tho Old and Now Testaments.
Believing that the Lord God, by graciously giving us the Scriptures, has revealed to His
people ordering principles intensely relevant to education, we now Invite all pa iple
to corporately bring the Word of God In all Its power to bear upon highschool

the final night of regular
season chess competition.
Congratulations go to 'the
winners in each of the four
levels as shown in the final
standings. Each of these
people will receive a bye in
the first round of playoffs
which commence tonight.
In levels 2, 3 and 4, the
playoff pairings are as
follows: 2 vs 5, 3 vs 6, and 4
vs 7. In level 1 where there
are six people, thefirst two
will receive byes, 3 vs 5 and 4
vs 6. All members should be
keen to play the first round
playoffs tonight. The con-
testants in all four levels are
very evenly matched.
Congratulations go to
George Barwick who won
level 2 and was also the most
improved player in the club
as a result of having the
largest winning percentage
increase since last season.
Many of the new members
will compete for the level 4
championship: Last week,
Grant Lounsbury beat Tom
Donnelly and Eric Hallam
beat Grant. John McDonagh
managed to checkmate Eric.
The playoff rounds in this
division will be exciting.
