More than 10 million Canadians are expected to. jog, cycle,
walk and generally' join in the fun and activity'of National
Physical Activity Week (NPAW), May 15 to 23, 1983.
National This nine day first ever Clilebration of physical activity has
Physical Activity Week been coordinated by Fitness' Canada in cooperation with
May15.23,1983 provincial governments and Canada's prominent national health
and fitness associations.
Action packed National Physical Activity week will celebrate Canada's growing -
appreciation of the benefits of physical activity.

Plan now to participate, May 15 to 23, 1983.
Groups are needed to organize special events and activities. Please contact the
Recreation Department at 524-2125 if your group is interested in taking an active
part in NPAW.
CANADA DAY PARADE, (date to be announced)
Entry forms for floats and bands,"will be available at the
Recreation Department in May. Prizes will be awarded in
various categories. Start planning NOW.' Watch your local
newspaper for exact times and route of the parade.
GODER1CH 10 KM CLASSIC - ROAD RACE AND FUN RUN
OPEN TO ALL RUNNERS
This event has been a huge success each summer with over 150 participants.
from all over Ontario and we are expecting even more participation this year.
