Town applies
for consultant grant
The Town of Goderich has
made an application for a
grant to hire a consultant to
make recommendations on
ways to conserve energy in
the town's municipal
buildings.
Funded by the Ministry of
Energy's Municipal Oil
Conversion and Energy
Conservation Program, the
grant will allow a consulting
group to estimate the
amount of energy, the town
will save if the town im-
plements certain changes.
The energy saving
changes under consideration
will consist of adding in-
sulation, caulking and storm
windows and changing in-
door lighting.

will be made to the Ministry.
If this application is ap-
proved the Ministry will
subsidize part of the Con-
struction. '
The subsidy will provide
up to 50 per cent of the cost or
$50,000 per building,
provided that the pay back is
within one to five years.
