The Junior Girls' bowler
Sandra Wilson bowled a 233
single and 575 triple. Grant
' Langlois bowled a 281 high
single game for the Junior
Stardom team chosen
Boys and Gerry- --Kingsley
bowled a 571: triple.

Rec Hockey League
playoffs to begin soon
With the schedule quickly
coming to an end, all the
remaining Recreational
Hockey League games
become very important to all
playoff hopefuls.
On Wednesday, February
2, Green Machine and Sunset
played to a 6-6 tie. Wayne
Rau of Sunset scored the
tying goal with about one
minute remaining in the
game. Highlighting the
game was Jim Farrish, who
after 99 breakaways, finally
—scored. Congratulations
Jim!
In Clinton on Thursday,
February 3, Clere-Vu
defeated Ultramar 6-2. It
was a very important win for
Clere-Vu, necessary for a
shot at a playoff berth.
Clere-Vu continued their
winning ways, downing
Sunset 7-6 in Clinton on
Sunday, February 6. Greg
Burns and Brian Newington
each had two goals to lead
Clere-Vu.
Late in the third period,
O'Briens came back to tie
Bedford 4-4 in the only game
on Sunday m Goderich.
Scoring for the Flyers were
Paul Corriveau, Lapaine,
Hoy and Smith. For
O'Briens, Standen had two
and Duncan and Draper
each had one.

Curling Championship held
The Southern Ontario
Canadian Forester Curling
Championship was held at
the Maitland Curling Club on
Saturday,. February 5 and
Sunday, February 6.
Teams skipped by Bev
Kindree, Peterborough; Ted
Twining, Oshawa; Barry
Humble, Brantford; and
Cam Bogie, Goderich came
to challenge Gerald Walter's
rink of Goderich who were
the defending champions.
After a five team round
robin tournament Cam Bogie
was tied with Barry Humble.
The two teams met in a
play-off and after eight ends
the game was tied and an
extra end had to be played. .
During the extra end,
Bogie managed to get a rock
in the house which was
guarded and this forced
Humble to make a cold draw
within the four foot, to win.
Because of the win,
Humble's Brantford team
will represent Southern
Ontario at the Canadian..
Foresters Dominion Curling
Championship m Thunder
Bay. The tournament will
take place from March 21-26.
