Joseph John Hart, 77, died on January 23 at his home. His son Donald James Hart, 53, died on January 24 at Alexandra Marine and General Hospital in Goderich. Both lived at RR 2, Clinton. The father, Joseph John Hart was born on May 6,1905 in Hullett Township to John d son die of heart attacks within a day of one another OBITUARIES former Emma Etta Hanna Mann. He was raised and educated in Hullett and farmed in McKillop, Morris and Colborne Townships. On June 24, 1924, in Egmondville, he married. His wife Elsie Edna Hart predeceased him. He is survived by two children, George Henry of Drayton Valley, Alberta and Reginald John (Jack) of Clinton. Also surviving are January 26 at the Ball and Falconer Funeral Home in Clinton with Rev. Bechtel officiating. He etas born in Chapleau, Ontario to Amable and Genevieve (Castigan) Ouellette. The late Mr. Ouellette started working on the Canadian Pacific Railroad soon after World War I and w was one of the very few who had the opportunity of working on the great Silk Trains from Vancouver to Montreal. -He continued to work for the CPR until he retired as yard foreman in 1965. He had transferred from Windsor to Goderich in 1948. He was an active member of both the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 109 and St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church in God`erich. The Royal Canadian Legion and Ladies Auxiliary to Branch 109 held a memorial Service at the funeral home Sunday evening. Interment was in St. Peter's Cemetery, Colborne Township. He was born November 6, 1920 in Morris Township to Peter and Ann (Speir) Rutledge. He worked as a carpenter and was a member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 109. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Joe (Rhea) Mansur of Toledo, Ohio and Mrs. Vic (Wilda) Lutman of Loeb Sheldrake, New York. He was predeceased by one sister, Mrs. Verna Sparks and one brother, John. A funeral service was held at McCallum Funeral Home in Goderich on Monday, January 31 at 2 p.m. The Reverend A.C. Yqung of Knox Presbyterian Church officiated. Intermentt was in Brussels Cemetery. Pallbearers were Glenn Lutman, Peter Lutman, Mac Sparks, Chuck Neuser, Michael Neuser and Stephen Sparks, all nephews of the the late Mr. Rutledge. Royal Canadian Legion and the Ladies' Auxiliary to Branch 109 held a memorial service at the funeral home Sunday evening. DAVID LORNE FARRISH David Lorne Farrish of Ashfield Township died in Wingham Hospital on Friday, January 28 in his 82nd year. He was born in Ashfield Township on June 23, 1901 to John and Annie (Johnstone) Farrish. He farmed in Ashfield Township for 40 years before retiring to Lucknow. On September 20, 1922 he married Beatrice Stein at the home • of the bride's parents in Ashfield Town- ship. He was a member of the Lucknow United Church. He was predeceased by his wife in 1962; one son George in 1978; and his brother Elmer in 1982. He is survived by three sons, Jack and Donald Farrish, both of Ashfield Township and Harold Farrish of Kitchener; one daughter, Mrs. Gordon (Winnifred) Walters of Goderich; one sister, Mrs. Lloyd (Della) Robb of Goderich; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. A funeral service and committal were held at the MacKenzie -McCreath Funeral Home in Lucknow on Sunday, January 30 at 2 p.m. The Reverend Hugh Nugent officiated. Pallbearers were Jim, Wayne, Donnie Rae and David Farrish and Bill and Steven Walters, all grand- sons of the late Mr. Farrish. Flower bearers were Douglas, Dale and Bradley Farrish, grandsons; Chris Farrish, great-grandson; and Wes Dignan, Steve Buchanan and Peter Shelton. Spring interment will be in Greenhill Cemetery, Lucknow. DORA M. JACKSON Dora Mary Jackson, formerly of Goderich and Listowel, died Tuesday, January 25 in Huronview at the age of 90. She was born January 7, 1893 to Mr. and Mrs. Duncan W. Shaw of Brandon, Manitoba. She was predeceased by her husband, George Joseph Jackson in 1972. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. William (Bettina) Roden of Boerne, Texas;) two sons, Duncan of Burlington and Donald of Goderich; seven grand- children and five great- grandchildren. The body of the late Mrs. Jackson rested at Robert Trench Funeral Home in Listowel where a private service was held on Friday afternoon. The Reverend Vernon Tozer officiated. EDITH MARGARET HOY Mrs. Edith Margaret taoy of 39 Sydenham Street, Port Albert, died Friday, January 28 in Alexandra Marine and General Hospital at the age of 68. She was born July 10, 1914 in West Wawanosh Township to David and Edith (God- frey) Sproul. She was married in Port Albert on September 17, 1932 to Clarence James (Cap) Hoy. She and her husband moved to Goderich until returning to the homestead in Port Albert in 1947. The late Mrs. Hoy was a member of Christ Anglican Church in Port Albert. She was predeceased by her husband on December 23, 1980; two brothers, ' Andrew and Lloyd; and four sisters, Marie Richard, Ruby, Mrs. Eldon (Ella) Culbert and '"Mrs. Ruben (Annie) Bruning. IRIS MAY (WARNOCK) SPARLING Mrs. Iris May (Warnock). Sperling of Huronview died P g at her residence on Sunday, January 30 at the age of 87. She was born in Goderich on May 18, 1895 to William and Margaret (Monahan) Warnock. She lived in Goderich, Durham, Port Elgin and Clinton, returning to Goderich in 1952. On April 25, 1916 she married Roy M. Sperling in Goderich. She was a member of North Street United Church, Goderich and the UCW of that church. She was predeceased by her husband on May 9, 1966. She is survived by four children, Mrs. Victor (Margaret) Kinnaird of California, Philip Sperling of London, David Sperling of Windsor and Mrs. Carol Dixon of Ajax; one sister, Mrs. Spencer (Grace) Guest of Winnipeg; 11 grand- children and seven great- grandchildren.
