Leo' Charles Ouellette of
Goderich died in Alexandra
Marine and General Hospital
on Friday, January 28.
He was born in Chapleau,
Ontario to Amable and
Genevieve (Costigan)
Ouellette.
The late Mr. Ouellette
started working on the
Canadian Pacific Railroad
soon after World War I and
was one of the very few who
had the opportunity of
working on the great Silk
Trains from Vancouver to
Montreal. He continued to
work for the CPR until he
retired as yard foreman in
1965. He had transferred
from Windsor to Goderich in
1948.
He was an active member
of both the Royal Canadian
Legion Branch 109 and St.
Peter's Roman Catholic
Church in Goderich.

A funeral mass was held at
St. Peter's Church on
Monday, January 31 at 11
a.m. The Reverend Father
A.F. Loebach and the
Reverend Father Leo Ramer
officiated.
Pallbearers were Clare
Bedard, Ralph Kingswell,
Roy Mugford, John
McDonald, Don.. Stemp and
Tom Eadie, all members of
Royal Canadian Legion
Branch 109.
Honorary bearers were
Ted Baechler, Joe Moer-
beek, Lentils Bedard and
Tommy Kipp.
Prayers were said at the
McCallum Funeral Home
Sunday evening.
The Royal Canadian
Legion and Ladies Auxiliary
to Branch 109 held a
memorial service at the
funeral home Sunday
evening.
Interment was in St.
Peter's Cemetery, Colborne
Township.

January 26 at the age of 62.

at McCallum Funeral Home
in Goderich on Monday,
January 31 at 2 p.m. The
Reverend A.C. Yqung of
Knox Presbyterian Church
officiated.
Interment was in Brussels
Cemetery.

Lutman, Peter Lutman, Mac
Sparks, Chuck ,Neuser
Michael Neuser and Stephen
Sparks, all nephews of the

David Lorne Farrish of
Ashfield Township died in
Wingham Hospital on
Friday, January 28 in his
82nd year.
He was born in Ashfield
Township on June 23, 1901 to
John and Annie (Johnstone)
Farrish.
He farmed in Ashfield
Township for 40 years before
retiring to Lucknow.
On September 20, 1922 he
married Beatrice Stem at
the home of the bride's
parents in Ashfield Town-
ship.
He was a member of the
Lucknow United Church.
He was predeceased by his
wife in 1962; one s

He is survived by three
sons, Jack and Donald
Farrish, both of Ashfield
Township. and Harold
Famish of Kitchener; one

Goderich; 14 grandchildren;
and 10 great-grandchildren.

MacKenzie -McCreath
Funeral Home in Lucknow
on Sunday, January 30 at 2
p.m. The Reverend Hugh
Nugent officiated.

Wayne, Donnie Rae and
David Farrish and Bill and
Steven Walters, all grand-
sons of the late Mr. Farrish.

Dora Mary Jackson,
formerly of Goderich and
Listowel, died Tuesday,
January 25 in Huronview at
the age of 90._
She was born January 7,
1893 to Mr. and Mrs. Duncan
W. Shaw of Brandon,
Manitoba.
She was predeceased by
her husband, George Joseph
Jackson in 1972.
She is survived by one
daughter, Mrs. William
(Bettina) Roden of Boerne,
Texas; two sons, Duncan of
Burlington and Donald of
Goderich; seven grand-
children and five great-
grandchildren.
The body of the late Mrs.
Jackson rested at Robert
Trench Funeral Home in
Listowel where a private
service was held on Friday
afternoon. The Reverend
Vernon Tozer officiated.

Mrs. Edith Margaret Hoy
of 39 Sydenham Street, Port
Albert, died Friday, January
28 in Alexandra Marine and
General Hospital at the age
of 68.
She was born July 10, 1914
in West Wawanosh Township
to David and Edith (God-
frey) Sproul.
She was married in Port
Albert on September 17, 1932
to Clarence James (Cap)
Hoy. She and her husband
moved to Goderich until
returning to the homestead
in Port Albert in 1947.
The late Mrs. Hoy was a
member of Christ Anglican
Church in Port Albert.
She was predeceased by
her husband -on December
23, 1980; two brothers,
Andrew and Lloyd; and four
sisters, Marie Richard,
Ruby, Mrs. Eldon (Ella)
Culbert and Mrs. Ruben
(Annie) Bruning.
She is survived by three
daughters, Mrs. William
(Doris) Knight of Sarnia,
Mrs. Earl (Delina) Teskey of
Niagara -on -the -Lake and
Mrs. Donald (Donna)
Bowden of London; four
sons, Clarence Jr. and
Robert Hoy, both of

Sperling
of Huronview died
at her residence on Sunday,
January 30 at the age of 87.
She was born in Goderich
on May 18, 1895 to William
and Margaret (Monahan)
Warnock.
She lived in Goderich,
Durham, Port Elgin and
Clinton, returning to
Goderich in 1952.
On April 25, 1916 she
married Roy M. Sperling in
Goderich.
She was a member of
North Street United Church,
Goderich and the UCW of
that church.
She was predeceased by
her husband on May 9, 1966.
She is survived Xby four
children, . Mrs. Victor
(Margaret) Kinnaird of
California, Philip Sperling of
London, David Sperling of
Windsor and Mrs. Carol
Dixon of Ajax;. one sister,
Mrs. Spencer (Grace) Guest
of Winnipeg; 11 grand-
