Ralph Barrie, a dairy farmer from Perth, in Lanark County is ipresident for his fourth term. Barrie, 54; said he hopes the OFA will be able to make break-throughs in two major areas in 1983: in getting agri- bonds in place to fill the need for long, term, affordable credit; and in helping farmers get an acceptable stabilization plan, like the market risk insurance pro- posed by the OFA. Barrie divides his time between two full-time jobs: being a farmer and being president of the OFA. He can be reached at the OFA's - head office, or at his farni. The first vice-president tor the fourth consecutive year is Ron White, a dairy farmer from Denfield, in Middlesex County. Besides having been actively involved in farm organization for over 15 years, White, 57, also served stan the Middlesex County Council as deputy reeve for the Township of London for eight years. This past year, White chaired the OFA's corn com- mittee and was OFA's representative ' several meetings on the Crow rate. For the first time in its history, the OFA has a Ralph Barrie woman as second vice- president. She is Mary Wicks of Bobcaygeon, in Victoria County. Wicks, 51, has been on OFA's executive for the past three years. She too is a • dairy farmer, and winner of the Master Breeders' Shield.
