Outlook '83
show planned
The Canada Farm Show
and the . Ontario Soil and
Crop Association are jointly
sponsoring Ontario
Agriculture Outlook '83 on
January• 26 and 27. The
meetings have been
designed to focus on the
future prospects of
agriculture in Ontario. •
Featured speakers will
include Dawson Aholt., a
respected USDA economist
whose topic will be the USDA
outlook on agriculture
programs for 1983; ' John
Stewart, former owner and
president of Stewart Seeds
who will focus on the 1983
outlook for .grains and
special crops . in Ontario;
Henry Beben, a leading agri-
business executive
associated with J.M.
Schneider Inc., Kitchener,
who will tank on the meat
production outlook in
Ontario for 1983; and Dr.
Gyles Randall, Professor
and Soil Scientist with the
University of Minnesota who
will be discussing new trends
in tillage and planting
equipmentwith conservation
in mind..
The Ontario Agriculture
Outlook '83 programs will
begin at 1:30 p.m. both days
in the West Annex, Canadian
National Exhibition
Grounds, Toronto and
organizers are expecting 300-
400 people at each session.
These meetings will 'provide
farmers with insights and
information which will be
useful when making spring
decisions.
