Circle City CB Club plans
transmitter hunt for Feb
The January meeting of
the CircleCity C.B. Club was
held on Sunday, January 9 at
the Goderich Recreation
Centre Board Room. The
turnout was promising with
a good number of regular
members and guests.
The secretary's report was
read by Rice Krispies,
adopted by Mr. Rocky and,
seconded by Gentle Ben. The
treasurer's report was read
by Modular 4, adopted by
Mr. Rocky and seconded by
Roadmaster.
BroncoBuster gave
members an update on coin-
ing events throughout the
year. There are a number of
exciting things brewing and
if you want to take part,
come on out to a meeting, get
involved and join in the fun!
For example, there is a
transmitter hunt coming up
on February 6. Starting time
will be 2 p.m. at the Zehrs
parking lot.
Members are reminded
that all unsold tickets on the
afghan draw are to be turned
in to the social director,
BroncoBuster, at the next
regular meeting along with
monies from the sales.
The C.C.C.B. Club thanked
Mr. Rocky with a gift or his
many years of service in the.
club.

January 6 at 2 p.m. Mr.
George Cowan of Blyth
United Church officiated and

the Canadian Order of
Foresters formed' an honor
guard.
Pallbearers were Burt
Bean, Bryon Black, Ralph
Matthews, Bill Logue, Bruce
Richmond and Bill Shaddick.

Jamieson Ribey and Glen
Ribey.

KEMPTON BEELER
Mrs. Sophie Kempton
Beeler died at the King's
Sons and Daughters Nursing
Home in Meridian,
Mississippi in her 90th year
on Friday, January 7.
She, was born in Ashfield
Township on August 3, 1893
to the late Mr.. and Mrs.
William Kempton.
She was predeceased by
her husband, Dr. J. Moss
Beeler in 1967. She was also
predeceased by one sister,
Tena and two brothers, Tom
and Bill.
She is survived by one
sister, Mrs. Harold
(Tabitha) Bogierof Goderich.
A funeral service and
committal were held at the
Webb Funeral Home Chapel
in lYleridiant on Monday,
January 10 at 11 a.m.
Interment was in -Clinton,
Kentucky cemetery. ,
J. HOWARD FOWLER
'J. Howard Fowler, for-
merly of Goderich, died in
uronview on 'Sunday,
uary atthe age of 18.
He was born in Saltford on
May 29, 1904 to George and
Emily (Milian) Fowler.
He was retired as the depot
manager of Shell Oil; in
Goderich. He was one of the
founding and long time
members of the Goderich
Bluewater Band and a'
member of North Street
United church in Goderich.
He was predeceased by his
wife, the former Delena
McCreath; one son Billie;
and one grandson, Robert
Fowler Jr.
He is survived by one son,
Robert of Ottawa.
A funeral service was held
at McCallum Funeral Home
in Goderich on Wednesday,
,January 5 at 2 p.m. The
Reverend Robert 0. Ball of
North Street 'United Church
officiated.
Interment was in the
Maitland Cemetery,
Goderich.
Pallbearers were' J.C.
Drennan, Wilson McCreath,
