The Goderich Signal-Star, 1982-11-24, Page 26MAGE 8A--GODERICH SIGN AL STAR, WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 24, 1982 Life is a battlefield, yet we x'nay depart alive El1S'r011 BRADFORD 1 . ... _. W, BIBLE M SIIQNARY CHURCH This life is an emergency situation! Jesus Christ has Minded th. e alarm; and He its hie to guide us to safety. As the . world fast crumbles around us, we may yet depart this battlefield alive. Jesus said, "'I am the way." The way to eternal life. Not only in each of our personal lives do we see our tratleeient vapors quickly fading into the next world; but today we can see also the last horizon of time itself. And when Almighty God has MINISTER'S STUDY torn this universe like a soiled garment and replaced it with "a new heaven and a new earth,", you and I can be experiencing life eternal. Jesus is the way to the, other shore, "No man cometh unto the Father but by me." But without the way, there is no going. "Iam the truth." The truth (Jesus Christ) said, "I and the Father are one." We cannot say Jesus was just a good man, or even the best, man who ever lived; nor that He was a great prophet. He is either what He said He is or He is a liar. Jesus is either the Son of God, God in the flesh, or He is the biggest fake that ever lived. "He that hath seen me hath seen the Father ... I am in the Father and the Father in me," Theintegrity of the Deity stands on this truth. Jesus said, "I go to prepare a place for you" and "If it were not so, I would have told you." Jesus is telling the truth and without the truth, there is no knowing. "I am the life." To know Jesus Christ, and to have His life dwelling in your heart by faith, 'is to look the ghastly death angel in the face and say, "HALLELUJAH! Oh, death, where is thy sting, 0 grave, where is thy vic- tory?" Neither need we faatr' the tremendous crises drat seem to threaten mankind on every hand; our heads need not spin in the delirium of foreign wars, criminal politics, and • a shaky .. !lt. .•a._•. .evagi.•__.,..v.• ..,..._r••r.,.e,,..a..•. ®^.ao..-®.. ....o.e®.,...-...c...,...®n.mo.®..00_.___...w,o ••SALVATION'ARMY 1 °I -First .Baptist Church i/ MONTREAL STREET i' 9,45 A.M.
