Make silk flowers • The Goderich Garden Club had at its November meeting, Mrs. Jean Barnett who gave a very informal lesson on the making of silk Flowers. All members were invited to participate and many took the opportunity to make hibiscus, tulips, dogwood, azaleas. gladioli and many others. Pussy willows look- ing ooking very real are made from light grey pipe cleaners graduated here and there along a stem. Mrs. Barnett take many honours for her flowers in summer flower shows and it's nice to know she has ex- tended xtended her talent to fill the winter season as well. The Department of Agriculture office in Clinton is having special classes December 8 and 9 on "Meals in a Hurry" and "More Cents than Dollars" at the township hall in Holmesville from 10 to 3:30 each day. The. Garden Club has been in-' vited to attend. The Town and Country Homemakers are selling amaryllis bulbs. Anyone wishing to purchase these are asked to contact F.Worsell at 524-7694 or J. Berry at 524-8694. There will be no meeting in December, so have a safe and happy holiday.
