Christmas Fair a great success
The first annual Auburn
Christmas Fair sponsored
by the Auburn Booster Club
was a huge success last
Saturday. The community
hall was filled to capacity
with 21 local crafters, bake
tables and tea tables. Many
people came to see the crafts
that ranged from stained
glass, smocking, woodwork-
ing, knitting, ceramics, mir-
rors and quilting. Many en-
joyed a light snack at the
decorated tea tables while
getting an early start on
their Christmas shopping.
During the day a draw was
made on a ceramic
Christmas tree donated to
the Booster Club by Bess
Slater of Auburn Ceramic
shop. The lucky winner was
Mrs. Peter Verbeek.
The members of the
Booster Clubwish to thank
Mrs. Slater for her generosi-
ty. Also thanks to Doug
Chamney for assisting with
the draw. '
Proceeds from the
Christmas Fair will be
