Disler leads Fizzmits to win in Bowling League
Dick Eisler led the Fizz-
mits in a 5 - 2 decision over
the Lowly Rollers this week
in the Wednesday Mixed
Bowling League. Eisler
bowled a 288 single and 692
triple while Gay DeGroot
had a 186 single and 477 tri-
ple.
The ' Lowly Rollers had
Haydn Thomas with a 211
single and Reg Watterworth
with a 537 triple. Ladies' side
single was tied with both
Terri Corriveau and Marcie
Thomas rolling a 170 single
with Corriveau taking the
triple with 492.
The Beach Bums lost all
seven points this week at the
hands of The. Pits. For The
Pits it was Cathy Connolly
with a 255 single and 631 tri-
ple while teammate Les
Adams had a 238 and 553.
For the Beach Bums it was
Tom Thompson with a 218
single and 592 triple and Val
Alexander with a 166 and 470.
The Knock -Outs took five
while Park Theatre
Mustangs took two this
week. Leading the Knock -
Outs, it was Earl Lawrence
with a 223 single and Bruce
Carrick. with a 529 triple. For
the ladies it was Norris Car-
rick with a 188 and 490.

ple of 511. Way to go George.
The Falcons took all seven
points this week defeating
the Headspinners.
For the Falcons it was Son-
ny Moore with a 257 single
and 681 triple. Del Mit-
chelmore had one of her best
weeks in awhile with a 269
single and 735 triple. Good
bowling Del.
For the Headspinners it
was Al Leggatt with a 216
single and 551 triple with
teammate Bonnie Erb roll-
ing a 215 single and 559 tri-
ple.
The Can Dos took a 4 - 3
decision from the
Candlelighters this week
with Bill Hurley leading the
Can Dos with a 1 t single an

Senior basketball team loses

The GDCI senior girls
basketball team lost 59-25 in
sudden death quarter -final
playoffs to Stratford Nor-
thwestern Wednesday in
Stratford.
Sue Kipfer paced the Nor-
thwestern attack with 11
points. The Stratford team
combined some hot.shooting,
hustle and good defence and
were full value for their vic-
tory over the Vikings. Strat-
ford led 32-14 at halftime.
Barb Conlon topped the
Vikings with eight points.
Karyn Drennan and Mary
Beth _Alexander each had
four points. Allison Graham
added three and Mary
O'Neill, Teresa Donnelly and
Anne Allan each threw in
two points.
Monday of last week, the
Vikings finished their
regular schedule with an
easy 75-20 romp over Clin-
ton. The victory gave the
GDCI team a record of six
wins and four losses in their
10 game schedule.
Mary O'Neill had a per-
sonal season -high total of 22
points to pace the Viking of-
fence.Allison Graham, with
12, and Mary Beth Alex-
ander, with 10, were other
Vikings in double figures.
Karyn Drennan hooped nine
points, Anne Allan had eight
and Barb Conlon, Denise
Connelly and Mona Gleason
had four points apiece.

Tag .Sowerby's two goal
performance, handed Sunset
their third loss of the season.

the Bedford Flyers took a

streak away from O'Briens
as the Flyers defeated them
by a 7-3 margin.
Dennis Kelly scored with
three and half minutes
remaining in the game to
give Hodges a 4-4 tie with
Sunset on Thursday,
November 4. Dale Duncan,
recently drafted by Sunset,
made his GRHL debut by
scoring one goal and adding
an assist in the game.
Scoring two goals late in
the third period Sunday,
November 7, Green Machine
made a valiant attempt to tie
Clere-Vu but Clere-Vu held
on to win 5-4. In that same
game Greg Burns from
Clere-Vu had three goals and
added an assist.
Sunday night in Goderich
saw O'Briens loose their
second in a row to Ultramar,
7-4. An impressive three -gaol
performance by Paul Kelly •
sparked Ultramar to the win.

The Goderich Lions Pee
Wees had a four point
weekend last week with wins
