The loss of the cruiser is a big misfortune just now as large hauls of fish are being made by poachers along the Bruce Peninsula. Dr. Emmerson has removed to the handsome residence he purchased from Mrs. Halls, opposite St. George's Church and will now be found there instead of on St. David Street. Mr. Holman ,of. Moncton, B.C. has leased Victoria Opera House and takes possession today. Last Thursday and Friday were rough days on Lake Huron. a stiff southwest gale blowing up •a heavy sea and Friday night was one of livelyinterest in Goderich 'harbor. About to enter the harbor gap, the old steamer Hibou broke her lines from the tug Bellechasse which had her in tow and drifted out in the lake.
