Young, both of Goderich•
The bride is the daughter
of Leonard and Phyllis
Fisher of R.R. 4 Goderich
and the groom is the son of
Jack and Marion Young.. of
Sebringville.
The Reverend John. Wood
of Goderich officiated at the
double -ring • ceremony.
Organist was Paul Howe add
soloist was. Mrs. Marianne
Hogan. She sang. "The
,Wedding Song", "Perhaps
Love" and "Annie's Song".
The bride was given in
'marriage by her parents.
She wore a long white double
georgette dress featuring
blue smocking hand -done by
Mrs. Beth Hazlitt on the
yoke, high collar and full
puffed sleeves. The dress
was gathered at the waist
with a blue satin ribbon. The
long veil was gathered to a
beaded pearl headpiece.
The bride carried a
nosegayy of silk white roses;
pink forget-me-nots and blue
baby's breath.
Maid of honor was Lisa
Moore of Toronto, friend of
the bride. She wore a long
royal blue georgette dress
with a high ruffled collar,
ruffles up the front and long
sleeves gathered to a ruffled
cuff. She carried a bouquet
of silk royal blue roses, white
carnations, blue baby's
breath and pink forret-mo-
nots.
Bridesmaids were Mrs.
Bernadette Beaton of Orillia,
friend of the bride and Mrs.
Barb Lassaline of Goderich,
sister of the bride. They were
gowned the same as the
maid of honor.
Flower girl was Jennifer
Kohlsmith of North Bay,
niece of the bride. She wore a
long cornflower royal blue
broadcloth dress covered
with a white swiss dot
sthocked pinafore made by
the bride's mother. She
carried a basket of silk
frown. -
Groomsman was - Russel
Jessop of Goderich.
Guest Were ushered into
the church by 'Baird 'Grid=
meyer of Bramalea and Jim
Hallman of Goderich.
Rin Barer- was Gerry
'Lassaline of Goderich,
nephew of the bride.
Following the wedding
ceremony, a reception Was
held at Saltford Valley Hall.
The bride's mother
greeted guests wearing a
street -length dusty rose
georgette dress. The
groom's mother , assisted
wearing a street -length
turquoise and dusty rose
striped dress.
For a wedding 'trip to
Collingwood, the bride.
changed to a grey skirt, red
blouse and short black velvet
bolero -type jacket.. ..
Mr. and Mrs. David Paul
Young are residing at 126
Trafalgar Street, Goderich.
Prior to her wedging,: the
bride waslitedat a shower
given by Aunt Phyllis Pit-
blade; at a shower given by
Auric Jean Ginn; at a Ben -
miller community shower;
and at a ..stagette held by
Miss Nancy .Ross, friend of
the bride.
Roorda conducting. IIsie
Henderson presided at the
organ. Special music was
provided by four young
ladies. Residents enjoyed
the program presented by
Marie Flynn, Ray Cantelon,
Warren Whitmore, Wilson
McCartney, Lorne Lawson
and Bill Marshall. Many new
and old time. toe -tapping
numbers were played by this
popular group of musicians.
Women and men from
Special Care had a social
hour in the auditorium Tues-
day afternoon. Margaret
McQueen played piano selec-
tions for the enjoyment of
the residents. Refreshments
were served.
The October birthday par-
ty . was held Wednesday
afternoon and was convened
by the Lakelet Women's In-
stitute. Mrs. Lyle Murray
was in charge of the pro-
gram. Norman Shelton
played a medley of . snappy
tunes on ' the accordion ac-
companied at the piano by
Helen Reidt. Mr. Shelton has
a very fine tenor voice.
Janet Huth presented
something
different with
her
"magic box"delighted
everyone.
Mrs. Murray and Mr.
Shelton sang.
Norman played a few
selections on the mouth
organ. Mrs. Murray dressed
in straw hat and overalls,
sang a novelty number. Fan-
cy cupcakes and tea were
served by the ladies et
Lakelet.
The first fall meeting of
Region O.A.H.A. was held on
Thursday at Sunnyside
Home, Kitchener. Those at-
tending from Huronview
were, Jane Ladd, Diane
Elliott, Frank Bissett,
Wayne Lester, Madelon
Yeats and Mary Gibbing.. It
was a very productive day
and the session was most. in-
teresling. The guest speaker
was Kim Ward who has her
Bachelor of Music in
Therapy. During the
workshop, she explained and
demonstrated the technique
used in music therapy and
the tremendous response
from the patients. Kim
works in the St. Joseph Cen-
tre in Toronto.

A spectacular evening's
entertainment opens the
1982-83 concert season in
Goderich on Friday, October
29 at 8:15 p.m. at North
Street United Church when
Orchestra London Canada
returns for its twelfth

feature music director,
Alexis Hauser; Con-
certmaster, Eduard
Minevich and the orchestra
performing an entertaining
blend of light classics, gypsy
music and pops selections.
Mr. Minevich has per-
formed as soloist with
Orchestra London on several
occasions. He has become
particularily well-known for
his stylish and passionate
interpretation of gypsy
music. Due to popular
demand, he is returning for a
repeat performance in
Goderich.
The season opener will
also mark a return
engagement for Mr. Hauser
who has been receiving
critical acclaim both
nationally and in-
ternationally for his con-
ducting.
Recently Orchestra
London appeared in a
national television special
featuring finalists from the
Canadian Music Com-
petitions and toured to
received outstanding
reviews for its performances
in the prestigious Festival
Internazionale de 1'Aquila.
The orchestra has also just
completed a trip to Barrie
and North Bay where it was
enthusiastically received by
capacity audiences.
Orchestra London is very
happy tohave been invited
by the Goderich Rotary Club
to continue the strong
tradition of bringing another
highly entertaining and
professional series of or-
chestra concerts to
Goderich. This season will
feature three concerts in-
cluding a pops concert'\and a
cabaret evening in addition
to the season opener.
