Mrs. Davison was com- mentator at a show featuring fashions from the Clothes Closet last Wednesday evening at Victoria school. The show was a fund-raiser sponsored by the Blue Water Chapter No. 284, Order of the Eastern Star and attracted a large audience from the area. Nine local women, ranging in size from six to 16, modelled everything from winter coats and wool , walking shorts to housecoats and elegant gowns. • One segment at the beginning of the show was on the black and white tuxedo junction look which is very vogue this year. Mix and match co- ordinates throughout the show featured color com- binations of gray and burgundy, loden green and red, loden' green and gold, and red and winter white. Plum dust is a popular new color this fall as well. Princess Diana has made her mark. Frills are in again and it's all part of the traditional Victorian look— practical but stylish, Mrs. Davison told the audience. Sleeves and shoulders both feature a lot of detail with puffs, frills and cuffs. Wide -wale corduroy was featured as a popular fabric- -casual and practical yet dressy enough too. (Photo by Joanne Buchanan) were made popular this past spring and summer, have now been converted into fall fashion -wear by using lined wool material and matching them up with knee socks. The .prairie -look, con- sisting of frilly plaid dresses and matching blouses and skirts in mid-calf length, was briefly featured in the show. A segment on winter coats showed that the emphasis is on . warmth. Leg warmers will also be popular this fall and winter. During an intermission in the show, the Craigellen Singers performed several numbers unr the direction of .Ila Wors 1. Door prizes were won b Dianne Steep, Joyce Riley, Win Ferris and Isobel Gilby. Following the show, .coffee and squares were ejoyed.
