Four teams are still in the hunt -for the
Goderich Women's Slopitch League

Sifto, Biuewater, Goderich Insulation
and Champion have all advanced to semi-
final whkh began this week. On
Monday evening, Sifto and Goderich
Insulation began their best -of -three series
on the St. Marys diamond while Bluewater
played Champion at Victoria Public
School. -
The second game of the best -of -three
series was scheduled for Wednesday with
Sifto and Gollarich Insulation playing at
Victoria and Bluewater and Champion
playing at Biuewater Centre. All games
begin at 6.15 p.m.
If a third and final game is needed in
either series, it will be played Thursday,
September 16 with Sifto and Goderich
Insulation playing at St. Marys and
Biuewater and Champion playing at
Victoria North. ..
The league championship will also be a
best -of -three affair beginning Monday,
September 20 at St. Marys at 6.15 p.m. The
second game of the final series will be
played Wednesday, September 22 and a
third game, if necessary, will be on
Thursday, September 23.
Players are reminded that an executive
and team rep meeting will be held hf the
meeting room at the recreation office
Wednesday, September 15 at 8.30 p,m. A
league general meeting has been
scheduled for Tuesday, September 28 at
7.30 p.m. at the recreation office.

Bedards win men's and ladies' nights

• Fantastic! 'That's the best way to
describe last weekend.
And hopefully everyone had the chance
• to take advantage of the fine weather by
golfing.
• The final rounds, of the mens' and ladies'
nights will be played on Saturday, Sep-
tember 18. The closing party, with Mrs.
• Miller's dinner, will be held at the arena

The low gross winner for men's night
was Tony Bedard while Art Bourdeau
captured . low net honours. First flight
winners were Leroy Bedour,Ron Smith

and Art Dawson. BiChishom, Art Burt
and Stan Telford were second flight
winners. and Gary Armstrong, Ron Harris
and Steve Graham were third flight
winners.
Della Bedard, Joyce Bolton and Shirley
Baechler were first flight winners at
ladies' night while Thora McCabe, Mary
Lynne Telford and Diane Little tapped the
setond flight. • •
Dorothy Bogie, Ruth Bushell and Grace
Sale were winners in the third flight and
Velma Haylow, Darlene Crawford, Nancy
McLay. . and Gwen Trebish were prize
winners in the fourth flight. • '
Next Thursday the ladies will be com-
peting in an interclub match. Members are

played in the annual Molson's Trophy Two -
Ball Competition. The winners were Jean
and Bill Hanly, with a- low gross of 80.
Marilyn and Dave Cornish came in with
first low net, followed by Verna and John
Kane. Other winners were: Pat and John
Stenger, Sally and Don MacEwan, Edna
and Fred Looker, Doris and Stan Paquette
and Pat and Dave Wilkinson.

September 17 in the semi-finals at the
