This year marks their 37th get together which will take place September 17, nand 19. The event begins with a reception Friday evening, hosted by Mayor i rank Mar- shall, A golf tournaanent will be held Saturday morning and in the afternoon a demonstration of ultra -light aircraft, a parade, memorial service and fly-past of war- time Harvard Aircraft is scheduled, followed by the annual banquet in the even- ing. Richard Rohmer, CMM, DFC, DC, Q.C., Former, Chief of Reserves of the Canadian Armed Forces, will take the salute and inspect the band and Air Cadets of No. 150 White Tiger Squadron, Royal Canadian Air Cadets of Hamilton, Ontario. Bob MacKenzie of Toronto was home on the weekend with his parents, Ross and Jean MacKenzie. The farmers of the area have been very busy this last couple of weeks keeping the combines going. It is nice to hear that there area number now that have their wheat, oats and barley finished and are now waiting for their flax to ripen. The Dixie Flyers have been delighting audiences coast-to-coast with original bluegrass music since 1974. Their appearances at the major bluegrass and folk festivals and their, warm, honest delivery have ggenerated an impressive fan following. With five albums to their. credit, as well as nWn retic _radio_ -and Jelevi- sion appearances, the Fryers are well-established in bluegrass circles both in Canada and internationally. His rich baritone voice and superb arrangements are well- known to Western Ontario audiences. Barb Saunders and Cassandra Leigh provide the distaff side of the Country Roads Concert. Cassandra has made several guest appearances on the CBC television -series, -"The Tommy Hunter Show" and her recording "Rider in the Radio Rodeo" has just been released. The .group. Prairie_ Wing. combines country rock and top musicianship in a unique blend of high -energy -styled entertainment. They have recently recorded their first single "Don't Cry Blue" and are currently touring southwestern Ontario.
