Holmesville wins
Bantam -boys' tourney
Holmesville took. home the
trophy from the Auburn
Bantam boys play-off round
robin tournament held last
Saturday, August 21st on the
Auburn Diamond. To do this
they defeated Auburn - 16 to
3, Londesboro 15-12 and
Varna 10-3 Londesboro took
second place by a close
victory over Varna 13-9 and a
seventh inning come from
behind win over Auburn 19-
-18. Varna defeated-' Auburn
14-5 to claim .a third place
standing. Good sport-
•smanship Was often
displayed making • • the
'tournament all the more
successful. This event was
Sponsored by the Auburn and
District. Lion's club and they
had the food booth on the
grounds.

Australia to live with

The, 31st annual Plunkett
picnic was scheduled to be

ternoon was spent visiting
and looking at photos.

on which they guessed the
number. Karen. Plunkett of
Auburn was the winner. A

dinner was enjoyed by all.
The business was conducted
