Twenty-one Mayers participated in the golf .and enjoyed a delicious corrrioast at Jean Hanly's cottage afterwards. Thant you Jean: and the social committee of Eileen Beauchemin and Joanne Jasper...and all the people who broinght those yummy desserts!! The winners were as follows: first flight -Marie H.uff,, _. putting;Doris Paque second flight- Grace lightGrace Neville and Edna Looker,. putting -Jean Knight; third flight -Jean Haply (who broke 100 for the first time -congratulations!) and Joan McDougall, put- ting -Kay Duncan; and fourth flight -Joyce Shack and Iria Stewart, putting -Dorothy Worgan. Closest to the pin on number one was Mary Lapaine. On Men's Night, August 9, 45 players turned out .to enjoy a beautiful evening of _golf. Congratulations to Bob Greer who shot a 72 but last in the play-offs at the Listowel tournament. Ladies' Night results this past week were: first flight Ev Evers, Ellen Connelly and Joyce Bolton; second flight -Eileen Howay, Mary Lynne Telford and Thera McCabe; third flight -Joyce Scott, Diana Little and Karen Sturdy; and fourth flight Velma Haylow, Nancy McLay.and.Sharon Moore. Congratulations to Joan Barrie who represented Sunset at the Junior Girls' OLGA- tournament in Seaforth. This was Joan's first tournament and she phIced fourth. _. Sunset won third place at interclub in Walkerton and congratulations to Pete Teichertwho shot73. The men's Four Ball Best Ball will be a shot gun start at 8 a.m. on Sunday. Double header at Hully Gully • Motocross action returns to Hully Gully this weekend, August 21 and August 22 with a double header of racing. Saturday starts. off at noon with house league com- petition for the beginner and small fry. Sunday features ° school boy and junior motocross at 11 a.m. and senior and ex- perts at 3 p.m. xpertsat3p.m. A mini -digger class will be. offeredfor new riders under 12 years of age.
